I was accidently exposed to something that looked lik trigger material at a serious newssite. Okay so I took it away, but then I got back to it just to be sure it was trigger material. To decide I wont click and went quickly away. Relapse...reset or what?? Continue Journey?? VERY hard time for me right now. Maybe the toughest time I had. Things aren't well With my practical tasks.

These are hard times indeed. But you know what? You have a lot to gain if you say "no" and move on, because that signals to your brain that you CAN resist, and that panicking will not always turn into a relapse. This isn't just to make you feel better, it's brain chemistry. When you're exposed to triggering material that panics you but decide to move on, you change your addictive brain chemistry.

Honestly, guys here think they can start rebooting before they've worked on their self-control. That just won't happen. The addiction you have to deal with first is the psychological one, the one that makes you panic and feel like "oh shit this is too important I need to attend to it right now!". The porn-induced symptoms that you're trying to battle are an altogether different thing, and you can't take them head on without first developing the ability to tolerate triggering thoughts/material without being hooked by them.

Once you've taken care of that, then you can properly start with the rebooting phase of your recovery, which will only be a matter of time.

You are over complicating an already complicated healing process by thinking like this. I'm on 97 days of the only streak I will ever have. We are going from porn addicts to people who will never use again there will be times you accidentally see something triggering, there will be times when you will "accidentally" see something and look a few seconds too long. You're still on the same streak, learn from it and keep moving forward, you are building resistance and integrity. Restarting streaks over nonsense glimpses and minor accidental dopamine kicks is ridiculous, unnecessary, and demoralizing. Just keep going and don't think like that. Hope this helped.

Soon you will not even identify with or recognize your old self. You will be amazed at how blinded by porn you were and will want to never go back. Just keep improving yourself in every way you know you need to, this will push porn further into the past and will propel you forward and will make it much harder to ever go back to porn. If you want to find this post just go to the display box that says "your content" and it will appear in there.

Yeah it's hard guys. Today I was sitting in my couch fantasizing over a girl I met. I think she is married though. I had sexual thoughts. I got a some erections and I felt within my trousers. Maybe some drops of semen came out. Did i relapse? I forced myself to stay strong though. but maybe I took it too far. No P and no real O. Could the moisture in my pants have something to do with my stress inside which is over the limit these days?

Every time you say no to porn or touching yourself it is a victory and you are reconditioning your reward system. Like I said before don't worry about streaks, in my opinion a relapse is a pmo session. Just keep going don't freak yourself out by worrying if you relapsed when you're trying your best on this journey. Keep abstaining, early on it will feel like you are not making progress and you will doubt yourself and the process but this is an unnecessary anxiety. Dont fantasize on purpose but if you do oh well keep moving we're only human, shit like that will happen along the way and it will get easier and you will recover.

Yeah I agree. Today I watched a movie which was funny but contained triggers and of course difficult to be sure. But I cant hide from the world and beside it was a comedy. I need comedy these days. Well I might have watched glimps of something on that. It was a mainstream comedy movie. Very good. I won't as you say don't count these things. Same with commercials. Full of sex. Can't hide . In my mind I feel it in my whole body when a relapse has taken Place. A relapse feels horrible inside. I don't have that feeling. So thanks for good words. I will still Write about my feelings though...just for confidence as it is like zero... I need to strenghten my confidence.

Some days ago I wrote a triggering text in the internet browser just to see if there came out links to p. And p it came. And i said no and left. I was feeling bad afterward and thought I had relapsed, but then I realised that every time you say no just before it is to late....you have won another battle.
