What is happening on a chemical level when....?

In my younger days (teens and 20s), I would find myself amped up for PMO more or less to the same level every day. I could binge one day, and my body and mind were ready to go the next day with the same level of mental and physical arousal. I usually had to make myself take a day away from it because my skin was raw, I was away from a computer all day, or something.

But now in my 30s, I've found that it's changed drastically, and I'm really curious what chemical reaction is occurring to make it this way.

    As an example:

Let's say I've taken a couple day break. Day 1, my brain is super-hungry for P, and as I'm edging to it (this was usually for 60-90 minutes), my brain is hyper-focused on every detail and arousal level is very high. But then, from day 2 to maybe 5 or 6, my brain would get gradually less compelled to do it, and my focus and arousal from the video would decline each day, until finally, a "burn-out"-like state hits and I can easily go 3-4-5, even 10 days from there with no interest, no cravings, nothing.

To note, I'm at day 21 now and doing really well with it, but I'm curious what happened chemically over the years to go from what is the brain's normal approach and response to PMO, to my very short peak and decline into burnout. Is this a sign of dopamine receptor burnout, grey matter damage, neurotransmitter disregulation?

  2. How do you expect a layman to answer this? I don't suppose even researchers can completely answer this.

With all the research out there and in this forum, I would assume someone has a hypothesis about PMO burnout.

Did you say your skin was raw.. Can you explain that pls? Cause I am having some crazy skin reaction and I think its because of pmo I've read a few places that it can cause terrible dry skin and itchiness

  5. Oh! Hmm, that's possible. I thought you were into ultra specifics.

  6. A book I’ve read talks about this. When we start PMO’ing our brain creates emotional scripts for our brain to go back to or remember quickly. DeltaFosB- is a protein that forms these scripts or water slides, when we grease or run that script it keeps us addicted. So know we now we have scripts, but the amount of dopamine we continuously feed into ourselves will always grow making new scripts and more addiction. Often how this happens is when we create a red line of content, a “I’ll just watch this” rule. But we end up breaking these rules creating a surge of excitement or dopamine. Dopamine isn’t actually pleasure it’s the Desire for that pleasure, meaning any fear or doubt will feed into the compulsion, crazy right?

You say you PMO for 60-90 minutes, which is quite unhealthy. You see we have a certain amount of dopamine for the day to be used... we essentially “overdrive” our dopamine usage when we have high stimuli such as internet porn. This is why we feel lethargic and quick to anger after a long session.
this disease is not like a hunger.. because a hunger can be fed.

i hope I explained this correctly and answered your question.
These answers to these questions that I am giving you is contained in a digital book that I can give you.
The purpose is for that DeltaFosB mindset to be completely overthrown and disregarded, instead of the traditional willpower method of getting it out.

iam a doctor and have an explanation
    1- dopamine depletion
    2-decrease receptor number (down regulation)
    3-decreased receptor senstivity to dopamine

ps: dopamine is needed for erection
