What is Success?

There's a many ways of looking at it. I'm not a monk but I can appreciate the ascetic lifestyle, and I've known people who have a certain disdain for celibates. Dan Bilzerian is also a guy who's a model of success for some. I can also appreciate his lifestyle.

From Dec. 16' to Dec. 18' I abstained from porn, and the last year and quarter were from PMO. In my mind success would have been getting the 9.5 from Hooters. And I could feel myself having progress there. My life definitely changed, but ideals can backfire as well.

There's a certain type of positive delusion that I've used in the past from the book "The Secret". I think its a bit exaggerated but I heard a Rabbi confirm one of the stories in there of a Jewish guy who set his mind on getting a certain type of house so he got a picture of one. A few years later the guy moves into the house, and as he's unpacking finds the picture of the same house he's moving into.

My science loving mind is constantly discrediting stuff I've desired. The truth is I've gotten laid by beautiful women in the past. It wasn't this incredibly complex thing, but I had to get my head out of my ass.
