what kind of activites should I do to relieve my excess energy?

    Hello guys

    after every 2 days or 3 with nofap I feel much energy that i can not find appropriate activities to relieve it .
    going to the gym is not suitable for me now .
    and my main question here .. should that activities I do to get rid of excess energy be physical activities ?
    what about mental activities as Reading , Programming ?
    what about being tired and in the same time I feel that I full with excess energy ?

    any links are welcomed

    I don't know if these techniques will help.

    I used it at the beginning and now once in a while —although not much.

    If you can pull "mental activities" off, such as reading, programming, etc. then by all means do so!

    EDIT: PS: and by the way, you can still exercise! there are alternatives to going to the gym.

    Personally, I feel it would be more beneficial to keep your activities physical and mental. Since I signed up for this site, I've been running a lot more often (I live in New England, and temperatures are in the lower 30's now). Albeit the fact that I'm freezing my backside off, I feel more refreshed afterwards, and I can keep a clearer state of mind during my after work out meditation (also a great way to keep yourself occupied without any temptations). So in short, a combination of the 2 activities works best for myself. If physical activity tires you out very easily, try going for a walk around a block if you have one, or in your yard for a while. Then try going to the mental activity of your choice (programming, reading, sudokus, whatever floats your boat!), and I'm sure you'll have a great focus on what you're doing.

    For me, it's a few things. My biggest stress reliever is yoga. Most guys would consider this as not manly enough, gay, retarded, or something. I used to do MMA and broke my back. I used to love intensity, aggression, and competition, but now that's all changed. Yoga gave me my life back. The best stress reliever I've ever had and you can do it by yourself or at a yoga class. Some chicks admire guys who like to do yoga by the way, so you might talk to some girls. Second is surrounding yourself with people serving a cause such as volunteering for a religious community, starting a program at your school, etc. Something that you can relate to others and at the same time, you're doing physical activities. Third, is meditation. I'm a Buddhist and it's sad that I don't practice this enough. Even non-Buddhists on NoFap do it more than me. It can help a lot with concentration, improving your memory, sleep, etc. I'm starting with at least 15 minutes a day. Find a quiet, warm place to sit comfortably and practice your meditation. There's several varieties, so pick a method that best fits you. Fourth, try to find something new around your community or neighborhood. I just joined a gardening community this summer and it fits my landscape design/horticulture major. Finally, just keep exploring and trying new things. You never know what can happen.     I have the same problem. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and work pretty long hours but sometimes I can't sleep due to the 'excess energy'. So I tend to MO and eat.

    I'm going to try meditation and flexing throughout the day to channel blood flow elsewhere.

    Personally I will suggest you to try doing workout, nowadays there are number of online yoga workout videos available. And I am sure doing Yoga will help you to relax your mind too and it will increase flexibility in your body. I really love doing yoga to keep myself fit.
