Just relax. I already told you in one of those threads that obsessive thoughts and worries you have towards all these things are related to OCD. Everyone have some sort of OCD, there are people who have it in a worse level. If before porn you didn't have OCD but now you have obsessive thoughts then you are in those people who have little OCD.

I told you already that the obsessive thoughts and worries are not generated from you, they are generated by the libido side of your brain whic is affected by your previous porn usage. Your libido side of your brain generates those thoughts and worries, meaning it's all OCD, so don't fuel those thoughts and stop worring about them.

OCD can interfere during everyday life, it's hard to defeat it or control it, but you can: just ignore the thoughts, the thoughts and the worries will go away and your brain will be recovered and you won't get intrusive thoughts anymore.

I'm not searching for those images but when I encounter a sexual image on TV or on the internet my brain begins to panic and worry that it's a relapse....it causes me lots of anxiety and compulsive worries about it

I'm sorry if my threads are bothering you but I'm just very serious about my recovery and it's the main reason why I don't want any of those images to affect my recovery, which is why my brain keeps telling me that it's a relapse every time a sexual image pops up on TV or on the internet.....I would really like some advice and reassurance on what really counts as a relapse and what doesn't

It's not a relapse. Now relax and stop worrying about the thoughts, just ignore them.

I think everyone needs establish their own boundaries for what constitutes a "relapse". I see this question popping up all the time, but if you are in recovery for yourself, then you should be able to establish your own rules for what constitutes a relapse. Figure out what triggers you- if you don't know then it may take trial and error, but it's worth figuring out. Then establish your personal boundaries. If you cross one, then you've relapsed or reset (depending on your own rules).

I'd recommend you establish some goals. Start small and become more ambitious. You may need an accountability partner to help you achieve this. Again, you will have to decide the level of support you need to get through this. There are Accountability Partners, Accountability Groups and lots of experience on this site. Take advantage of them as your needs dictate.

All this said, you must truly want to quit, else no level of defense is going to be enough to reach your goal. This takes candid, transparent self-evaluation which can be painful and (at times) frightening. As I have found out, there is no finger-snapping cure that miraculously solves this problem overnight. It is a long, tough road, and without commitment the recovery rate is frighteningly small.

I don't wish to dissuade your efforts by any means. I actually hope you can be best positioned for success, and the above is what has helped me get on the path to recovery after decades of addiction, and years of failed attempts to quit.

    Best to you in recovery!

Then what would count as a relapse? In terms of sexual images popping up on TV or on the internet?

Nothing, sexual images on TV or on the internet are not a relapse.
It's a relapse if you start fantasizing about them when they pop up and you masturbate to them.
    Ask yourself these questions:
Did you deliberately fantasize about those images and kept thinking about them?
Did you masturbate to those sexual images?
If your answers are no, then you don't have anything to worry about.
Now relax and keep going with your streak.

Wouldn't it be a relapse if I intentionally search for them though?

If you intentionally search for them, then it's a relapse.
