hi everybody, how are you doing? i hope ur having a great time on the road to recovery.what im gonna tell you is a straight forward way,a simple yet the most efficient way to overcome porn.but hard to start with.
what are we addicted to? basically porn.seriously,my urges ain't that strong when im not watching porn.i dont like to fap without it,i dunno but it seems silly without it.
what causes us to watch porn, the advancement in technology,laptop/computers and mobile.thats all for many basically.its in-relevent you'll go to a cafe for it.its also irrelevant you'll go to an xxx shop to buy a dvd just coz you have an urge.
what worked for me so easy yet so hard? i put an unknown password to my laptop administrator.i called my friend to take my mobile away and bought a nokia 105.it has no internet. i went onto easiest 12 days of my life, multiple times i tried to open my laptop but had to close it coz my urges failed in front of the password
12 days because stupidly, the system recovery system was on which let me restore to point before and in ended up fapping.thus, now ihv blocked system recovery system or would ask my friend to take it away as well.
i know this is hard, livimg without two of man's modern luxuries, but what good if they are destroying your lives.porn blockers don't work due to ease of access. ask yousel, what's more important?a fap free manly life or a porn addictor? well,i chose other way.still, their would be urges and you might still slip little, but its really not as strong an urge as with having porn under your sight.i maybe critisised for this,bt it will work for you if you can break your heart for a moment to make your life.give up computer and replace your mobile with a model without internet.thanks, have a nice day! (excuse for spelling mistakes)

You are right when you say that we have to make sacrifices to achieve remission but, in my opinion, there is a lot more to it than just removing the access. Twelve days is a great start but recovery is a many year long journey with different challenges and hurdles to clear along the way. As you mentioned, there are always ways to get around the blockers or even ways to find porn when you remove access through a phone or computer. What I would add to your point is that you have to address the underlying issue that pushes you towards PMO...stress, loneliness, boredom, burying emotions. This is a different issue for everyone and you have to work on these issues to maintain remission. Also, you need to have some sort of accountability to a person in your life. Someone who can check in on you and keep you on track when you start to struggle. Preferably multiple people will be aware of your struggle and able to help you along your journey. Best of luck with your recovery and keep fighting ;)

I have 2 blockers set on my computer and I dont use a smartphone. This has made reboot much easier.

it certainly has,and i'hv observed, the social networking too is a big waste of time,i'hv become more effective,so that i completed this week so early i had 3-4 days for myself.and the myth that, its helps you stay in contact with people.i mean,we are not john rambo lost in mexico.we are safe and we don't need to keep using those networking sites all day long.thanks!

    Hi @Thrices,
You were asking yourself "what we are addicted"... it's the right point! I definitely agree with @Fighter834: blockers can help but you need to look at yourself deeply to find where is the root cause. In my personal experience I had a long streak of nine month thanks to having no porn accessibility... but when I was back to the internet was only a matter of a "stressy situation" to make me turn back to P. PMO is only a preferred way to escape from ourselves, it's a consequence of been unable to deal with reality when it kicks our ass. "Preferred" because it leverages sex-circuits that nature gave us in our brain as the way to continue the human species. So another keyword is "discipline" which helps much and to deal with ourselves. If it's not PMO... it will be junk food... or a sexual relation with a real women you'll simply use... Did you commit to learn more about PMO?

hi fighter! yes that's right, both of them points especially if we can have someone to check, and thank you for posting with your experience and congrats too,if their is anything else you would like to share would be great,i actually have been on longer streaks but i posted this because it had been easiest and my streaks were longer especially when i had no access to porn whatsoever like when i was on a trip.i have faced stress situation then too,but not one time did my mind say "go to porn" because their wasn't any around.how do drug addicts cure themselfves? they don't keep drugs in their home while on a rehab.or do they? isn't it funny?.that's what we all are doing.we are addicts and we are so much in reach of the drugs.porn blockers are just a difficult covering nothing else.after finishing up with this thread,im genuinly going to set an unknown password to my lappy or just gonna give it away to my friend who lives some 50 miles away.
another thing i have observed is,the time when their wasn't internet, their were magazines, playboy and stuff.and people used to fap to images, yes images under those magazines.and culture was different, people were'nt blind sighted by porn,i'hv come to known that people would'nt talk to people who used to keep adult pictures and stuff at home, and this was also shown in movies of those time through funny scenes. these sites are great source of knowledge, but these are just a begining to the means to the end.a lot of people are not willing to make sacrices, but thats what is really needed.always, whatever we need to achieve,be it of our time, our needs or an accesssary that has given us some new age norms, but taken our lives away.(excuse for spelling mistakes)thanks!

    Hi bro,
I asked you if you did commit to learn more on PMO 'cause this could help you to better understand what's in common with others addiction and what's peculiar to PMO.
    1. PMO is similar to drug addiction but it's also different. Drug generate in brain a "want more of it" dynamic, while PMO leverages "I want different == novelty" in reward circuits in our brain. Also drug do not leverages circuits that nature has provided in your brain to fullfill species reproduction as PMO does.
    2. Fapping to images or magazines isn't the same because with internet you can see more sex novelties / time spent which is orders and orders of magnitude greater. This means that your brain will rapidly change itself with every click on internet which make dopamine raise in your brain and strenghten P-circuits in response to it.

    good luck!

Yes,It Helps but In Today's World,To Be Honest,It Is Next To Impossible To Live Without Gadgets, atleast for me what we need to do is discipline ourselves and limit the amount of time we spend on them for that i started using cold turkey today it is really helping me to be productive.

    Good Luck!

There is a long procedure to close k9. Task manager alone cannot disable k9 that easily. It didn't mine.
