"Ktož sú boží bojovníci" ("Ye Who are Warriors of God")
It's a medieval song with it's own history, composed by medieval folk in Bohemia known as "Hussites". They were mainly common folk who wanted the Catholic church to yield of it's wealth and luxury.
Pope didn't like that.
He sent 5 crusades to supress them, but Hussites - mainly peasant infantry - fought them off. However, they were defeated after 15 years of rebellion in 1434.
It is well known, that when Hussites marched onto the field of the Battle of Domažlice singing this song, the imperial army (crusades) panicked and fled from the field, running to the nearby forest.
And so, Hussites won the Battle of Domažlice just with this song.
Lol I randomly stumbled upon Lyrical Lemonade the other day. Not my type of thing but hey unique and cool channel if it is yours.
Awesome energy in the sig mate!
Thanks for the video on #139 Nick. Johnny Cash performs Hurt in the best way. This song resonates with me deeply.
Which one would you rather have me sing for you? I simply cannot choose between them.
