What to do?

    First a bit of Backstory: I am a 22 y/o male, who started a serious attempt at quitting porn 3 days ago. I never made it that long before, which is a bit sad i guess. The goal was to do everything but porn, even if that ment doing nothing. Now I realised, I would do nothing quite often, cause porn was my go to solution for sadness, happiness, boredom etc. So I thought I might ask you guys (and girls) for some hobbies, things to do that helped you fill the void. I am really open for everything and would love to hear youre suggestions!

    There are any number of options, but pick things that occupy your mind as fully as possible and are relaxing/soothing. Some really basic advice:

    Reading -- This is a tranquil activity but can fully occupy your attention.
    Meditation (or praying if you're inclined) -- A good way to empty your mind of distractions.
    Physical activity -- Strenuous activity is particularly good, like running, cycling. I particularly like swimming.

    Means you need to work on your inner self. You can only cover it up with staying busy and hobbies for so long.

  4. My city has a social sports league. Volleyball, soccer, spike ball, a few others. Just pick. Anything that gets you around other people. Social isolation is the proximate cause of mental disorder.

    All the sport facilities in my hometown are closed at the moment because of Lockdown measures but I informed myself and picked some sports I want to try after they reopen. Till then I will try to meet friends as often as possible, thanks for the tip!

    Thanks for the advice! Reading was exactly the activity that helped me through the first couple of days, and I will surely try meditating and add some exercises to my daily schedule! Thanks again

    Personally I found a therapist that had experience with sex addiction and took it f'n seriously. Originally went every week, now every other week, soon to be every 3 weeks. I went to SAA meetings once a week and still do. I read a lot of books as well.
