long story short, a 38 yrs old man who got divorced in september (her decicion)
I have been watching porn since i was a kid and mostley used it as inspiration for the real thing. With my ex wife I never had problems with ED or anything.

During this time as single ive spent more time watching porn (but mostley out of boredom) or masterbating to fantasies of my exwife. (yes ive had a hard time letting her go) Dated a few girls and found I had a hard time maintaing my erection when changing positions etc..so i reasearched the web and came across nofap. Read all about it and decided to give it a try.

So a couple of days in (like day 4) my dick is DEAD! Im 100% i can get it up to porn (havnt tried but dont wanna try)... but just trying to get it hard with fantasies is IMPOSSIBLE... >.<

When i read successtories it makes me hopeful, but wow this feels horrible...im so scared right now..is this common?
(btw not addicted to porn, so that will be the easy part to avoid it)

It’s probably some kind of flatline. I’m like that for 2 weeks now.

Alright, so lets clarify some things. When you watch porn, do you get hard from just watching it, or do you also have to masturbate to get hard with the porn?

When you say you can't get hard from fantasies atm, do you mean you can't get hard by masturbating to fantasies, or in the past you would just get hard by thinking about stuff, no need to jack off to do it?

Same thing happened to me. My libido tanked when I stopped watching porn.

All it means is you're rewiring and you'll have to ride it out for a period of time before it returns albiet it better than before and natural stimuli is adequate to trigger stimulation ahain.

    Could be PIED.

I'd also get testosterone blood levels checked just to be sure, at 38 thats about the age things can start tanking. If it comes back in the middle-higher normal ranges, it's likely PIED. Really cheap at discountlabs, can just order the test, and drive to the nearest lab available for drawing the blood. https://www.discountedlabs.com/testosterone-total-and-free-regular

38 is way too young to start 'tanking' surely??
Guys in their 40s still having kids and the best sex of their lives apparently (according to survey!)

It's more common than you think, I'm in a facebook group with around 16,000 guys on TRT(I'm not on it myself), and most of the guys are under 50. They conducted a poll a while back, and 34% of the group on TRT were guys under 30. Quite a few doctors in the group as well, all of them on it, all of them youngish. Hypogonadism at a young age is a medical condition, and should be treated as such.

Truth is most guys with low-T don't know they have it, and how many guys are honestly going to talk with their buddies about not desiring sex, and not being able to get it up? Far more likely to just bullshit.

Man , that's kinda depressing! I'm only 34 and always had super high sex drive. My dick had minor ED issues one day when I quit porn for a week before I knew about NoFap, flatline started straight away and I panicked cause I had no idea what was happening, Doctor said medically I was fine (blood and testosterone tests).

So I know mine is porn-induced at least, on my 74 day streak I started to see benefits again!

Most doctors are full of shit when it comes to male sex hormones, they receive minimal training in it, and don't really understand the nuances. It's not their fault, it's only recently being taken seriously as men are slowly becoming more aware of their hormones. You really have to find doctor's who received post medical school training in the area to get solid medical advise.

A prime example would be the testosterone "range", it's on a scale of 300 ng/dL - 1200 ng/dL. Thats a huge range, and so long as you're above 300 most doctors will tell you you're fine, and not technically hypogonadal. However if you were say at 600-700(which is where most guys are in their teenage, 20s/30s, and even 40s), and you dip down to say 350 over time, you're going to not feel like your old self. Sexual function might decline, libido might lower, depression might set in etc. I say "might" because some guys never notice any symptoms, and it just gets picked up one day on a test, and they're surprised. A good TRT doctor treats symptoms, not just numbers, of course jumping on TRT is not always the first choice, other factors gotta be considered.

I wouldn't worry about this, plenty of guys go into old age and never notice any issues, lmao, but it's nice to know if something does happen, with modern medicine we have a cheap way to restore youthful levels. Main issue is finding a doctor who knows what they're doing, but thats become a lot easier with dedicated anti-aging male clinics recently.
