    Ice Station Zebra

Two and a half hours of Navy submariners, spies and Soviet paratroupers, without a single female in sight, literally. I've looked. Not one single female in that movie.

  6. Commando, it's ridiculously manly. Apart from the villain, who now seems decidedly camp.

  7. 300. It's the manliest since all the Spartans only wore underwear in the battlefield

Definitely these ones as well. In my opinion High Plains Drifter takes the cake on his "man with an edge" persona

I think Dunkirk in many ways actually:

Most of the movie is incredibly silent, all the men in the film are called to duty, some do it, other’s fail. But almost all do it without question and without desire in a way, they do it for loyalty and survival in a war setting. I think these are incredibly ‘manly’ examples.

Beyond that I would say Gladiator and The Last Samurai.

  13. I love the last samurai, its one of my favorite movies of all time.
