    Hi everybody!

Quick question that has nothing to do with PMO... has anybody had any experience with sleep drugs? I haven't slept well in years and I need to do something about it until I can talk to a sleep specialist. I'm not a fan of pharmaceutical medication at all, but I can't get more than six hours of sleep a night and it's slowly killing me. I think it's high time to give it a shot, but I want another opinion.

Well, melatonin is good for helping you sleep at night. It's OTC and very effective. You could use that until you can see a doctor and explore your prescription medication options.

Thanks! I've done melatonin for about two months now and the only thing its done is help train me to sleep at a certain time. I still can't sleep all the way through the night. I'm gonna need something stronger.

Have you tried time-release melatonin? Also, do you make sure to sleep at normal hours and not use any devices/have lights on before you head to bed? If you have a computer that you like to use before bed, try an application called F.lux, it dims or brightens your computer according to day and night cycles.

That's about all I can encourage you to do until you see a doctor. Prescription sleep aids will knock you on your ass, be sure of that. Good luck. :)
