When friends matter

During my reboot process I was very lucky to have a buddy that I have been meeting up with for a beer or two about four days a week. Guys can usually tell when a friend is in the shit. Somedays we would sit at the bar and barely say anything for a couple of hours. It turns out listening is as important as any talk therapy. If you have someone that is reaching out to you, pay attention. They might realize you are suffering even if it isn't conscious. There are times when men need other men. I couldn't imagine what way things could have gone if I decided to confide in a woman close to me. I know that's sexist, but I don't think the majority of women can understand sex addiction like guys can.
