I advise you to start exercising if you arent already. If you have a good workout plan and you eat right you will achieve your goals (gaining muscle, becoming stronger). Working out is truly life changing.

I'd say the habit that you feel will make the biggest change in your life, and that largely depends on what is going on in your life right now. I'd second working out as a solid habit, closest thing to that is reading books, consistent meditation or journaling. If you feel like you're low on energy and overall fitness, exercise is best. If you feel like your mind is clouded or tends to be stuck in the same thought patterns, reading, meditation or journaling could help. Just be careful only doing something to combat nofap, because that'll loop back to you still thinking about nofap and thinking that you're vulnerable when you're not engaging in the habit. Here is a great video from a great youtube channel of a habit tier list(basically how he ranks habits in terms of how they impact life). Universal man who is a nofap youtuber has a video called the ultimate habit tier list which is basically a copy of this video, but his is a bit more catered to nofap obviously. I prefer the first video but feel free to check out both. I have a note of the tiers if you don't feel like watching the video or hearing why the first guy ranked these how he did.

    • S Tier (Life-changing Keystone Habits)
      • Exercise & Fitness
      • Bullet journaling(or any productive form of journaling for managing tasks and goals imo)
      • Reading/Listening to audiobooks
      • Meditation
    • A Tier (Powerful Habits)
      • Cooking your meals
      • Working on your own projects/ building your own thing
      • Writing
      • Socializing
      • Listening to podcasts
      • Dancing
      • Learning how to play a instrument
      • Grooming
      • Chores
      • Studying (Studying is pretty crucial to being a software developer which is my ultimate goal, so I personally would consider this S-tier. Just an example of how your life determines what is more impactful.)
      • Eating on time
      • Positive affirmations
    • B Tier (Good Habits)
      • Getting sunlight
      • Cold showers
      • Visualizing
      • Budgeting or keeping track of your finances
      • Making your bed in the morning (Again, if even getting out of bed is tough at times, this could be a much more powerful habit as it's the first victory of the day and that energy can trickle down into the rest of your day.)
      • Keeping a diary
      • Watching self-improvement videos
      • Studying a language
      • Drinking a glass of water when you wake up
      • Resting your eyes
      • Stretching
    • Not Really A “Habit” Tier
      • Waking up early
      • Sleeping early
      • Being mindful of one’s posture
      • Being mindful of your words

    Definitely exercise and meditation.

    Why exercise?
    • tons of positive effects for your physical and mental health
    • when you watch porn and flood your brain with dopamine, the brain reduces the amount of dopamine receptors. Exercise builds new dopamine receptors which speeds up the process
    Why meditation?
    • when you watch porn your prefrontal cortex gets weaker. This is the part of our brain where our willpower sits, meaning you'll have less impulsive control
    • meditation strengthens the prefrontal cortex. Even 10 minutes a day will have a huge impact. It'll take about 6-8 weeks until you will notice a difference
Basically spend your time away from the computer. The mentioned Tier list is very good

Good sleeping and visualizing are s(the biggest life changing)-tier habits empowering others to unfold and continue. Because there is no Meditation, no studying, no reading without a good night sleep and without visualization there is no power in your planning. I would add one more to the top tier of life changing habits - It's a consistency/persistence in seeing everything you started through to its logical completion.

From as many as you can fit in your day.;) But I would recommend you to start with good night sleep as the foundation habit.

it's finishing what you've started every time no matter big or small. It put's you in control of your life.e.g. If you started reading a book you keep reading it regularly till you've read it through, or if you planned workout in the gym, or if you planned your day etc.

  12. Exercising! It's transforming all that energy which you're saving during NoFap into something very beneficial for you, and it's directly connected to NoPMO because it's rebooting your brain from being hooked on dopamine inducted by PMO to the healthy and natural way of getting dopamine via movement :emoji_slight_smile::emoji_thumbsup:

The guy in the first video doesn't consider sleep/waking up a habit(and I agree) because you can't actually consciously control what your brain is doing while you sleep and a habit is generally something you actually choose to build over time. All you can really do is maximize your chances of good sleep with a good bedtime ritual and your quality of sleep is largely determined by your other habits and behaviors. So I wouldn't say sleep in itself is a habit because we all sleep and wake up anyways, I'd say it's the most important thing out of all of this though. A good bedtime/morning ritual however could be a S-Tier habit for sure assuming you don't have any medical issues or other external factors that ruin your sleep despite that. But like I said, it's important to note what is a higher tier for YOU. I'm not really a visualizing type so that's like very minor to me, but it might be more important and impactful to someone else.

True. That's why we have to start slowly and with something on the easier end of spectrum while controlling our itchiness to start things that are way too big for us currently as well as keeping the number of projects we work on manageable.
