I don't get why people look up too rich people. They aren't nice people. Always unwilling to pay their fair share of taxes. They may give a lot of money in philanthropic enterprises but, considering how they usually make their money by taking it away from others who need it more than they do, doesn't amount to much.

 

If you read more about their philanthropic works you will be surprised to know how much they save in taxes by donating money. All those donations are planned for most of the rich guys(I don't say all).

I don't have one simply because I don't really care. I don't assume people are automatically good or bad because they're rich.

Most rich people are that way because they own real-estate and other business ventures that require them to have their own companies. The benefits of owning a company are substantial and as I was told by a tax attorney "if you own your own company and are paying a lot in taxes then you're doing it wrong". You see here in the United States the American dream is still alive and good but it's hidden within its tax law. Rich people aren't evil simply because they've taken the time to navigate that law. Even me, if I invest in real-estate right now and start a small company I would get access to up 300 possible tax deductions which definitely beats the small amount I get access to under my W2 for work.

Also what is a "fair share" of taxes for the rich? Who decides that?

"Fair share", there is no such thing, taxation is theft.
