Why do I keep fapping after Day 7?

Three days ago marked the first time in my life that I didn't fap for seven days, two times in a month. However, once I hit seven, I immediately had the urge and went to fapping for some reason. Okay, maybe not for "some reason", since I think it has something to do with peeking through some porn fetishes on Day 6 (which you could say that's already a relapse right there), but this is really got on my nerves. Day 7 should be a milestone for me, not where the journey should stop.

I know that I'm probably not the only person with this issue, but how could I ensure my brain to not touch myself after Day 7?

(And yes, I have tried cold showers and squeezing my stress balls, but do you think I should start doing those more often than before, consistently?)

    ~Thanks for reading!

EDIT: I also have the urges after Day 7. This is the third day in a row I've fapped and I'm really considering wearing a chastity belt (jk). But in all seriousness, I want to get rid of this lust from my brain.

  2. It’s usually the first few weeks where we are most vulnerable to relapses. As to why 7 days for you, perhaps testosterone spike.

That's a bit confusing. I thought the spike was actually a good thing to get, and the urges on Day 6 happened because of a spike in lust hormones instead. I would like to be informed on this a bit further, if you don't mind me asking.

  4. It is a good thing, depends how you look at it. Testosterone spike is gonna make you stronger and feel more manly, but an affect of that is that it will probably make you a little more horny. This is just my guess on why you relapse every 7 days though, but if you’re doing it every 7 days then yeah, it could be.

What also helps is meditation, eating healthy and clean, and to exercise.

It doesn't matter if it's on Day fucking 7 or Day 1000 or whatever, you keep relapsing 'cause you give in to your urges like a bad parent gives in to his/her child's tantrum.Show your brain who's boss and you won't relapse ever again.Good luck !

I never looked at it from that perspective. I might want to take that into account (that is unless I forget the next day, which I hope I don't).

  10. I see it like this. Sex is like irritation or tingling of the nerves, energetically; and like a water leak in terms of vitality.

The power to think, to concentrate is vitality given to the brain by the body. A form of sacrifice for mental function. It can take days for nutrients and vitamins, enzymes and hormones and whatnot to travel from body to brain.

So yes, after a few months the brain seems more in control. And also the busted pipe that was getting tingled has been repaired. Like an old cable, transformed.

POINT IS no matter how much vitality your body has or how many irritated spots its pipes have. Your brain is always capable of evercoming the subconscoious, animal impulses.

You are king of your senses, Not a slave !

This is what the Spartans understood and this why they believed fear is an illusion and a form of enjoyment for cowards !!

the first week I've found is more mental cognitive addiction/compulsion, but after day seven, I've found that you have genuine, REAL sexual emotions that are very powerful. Day 7, you're going to definitely get a huge testosterone spike, (anywhere from 15%, to 90%, averaging around 50%. Day 7 is when I always notice the significant changes in my emotions, social anxiety, etc. . . Pretty much, day 7 is when the superpowers have always kicked in for me. It may be that as soon as the superpowers kick in, you don't know how to deal with them. If I haven't prepped myself in the past couple of days by setting up an active schedule, workout, and stuff to keep me busy, I almost always relapse just because I have so much drive and energy. I'm on day 16 Rn and i'll tell you, even right now if I were to sit down and play videogames/watch tv all day, I WOULD relapse. With Great power comes great responsibility, so as you find yourself approaching day 7, GET BUSY. Nofap gives you the energy and potential, but not always the motivation and mental conquer life attitude. Get the conqueror attitude, and then as you find yourself getting more angsty, take the energy AND USE IT. Right now I'm at a summer camp literally busy 24/7 (this is my weekend off and I'm doing schoolwork all weekend) and I haven't even had a chance to think about relapsing.)

  12. He’s right Cody, in the end, it’s us that chooses to give in. It’s truly mind over matter, in all things.

If your hands don’t touch your penis, how can you ever relapse? If you never entertain or prolong a sexual thought, how can you get urges? Urges are you being aware of these thoughts and you entertaining them but if you deny this, by thinking/focusing on other things, then you can never go down the thought path of fantasizing and you’ll never have to fight.

Another thing is, you don’t fight. You simply do something else. That’s why people say keep busy, so you’re so busy, you don’t have time to even think about relapsing. Again, meditation, eating healthy and clean and exercising will help you with this.

Resting and relaxing. I think those are very important. Working too hard is probably the number one cause of my relapses... When I am over-working I am guaranteed to be in a state of HALT. (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired)

If today was my new "day 1" without PMO, I guess that it was pretty easy because I had 10-12 O's from Tuesday to Thursday. I probably would have kept doing PMO, even being that drained, but I guess my desire to quit overcame my desire to do PM again.

I also guarded my eyes today without really thinking about it. But if I'm in more complex situations I will have to be more careful to guard my eyes.

Listen, kid, don't repeat the same mistakes. Learn from your mistakes and avoid them in the future. Be honest with yourself. Don't cheat yourself. Block all the triggers. I used to be like you and look at my counter now, what does this tell you? It tells you it's possible. And don't deal with it as though it was some kind of mystery, it's on you. Don't hate yourself for it. Just learn from your mistakes. Man up.
