Why do you think exercise helps with nofap?

  1. I workout and have found out that it helps me keep clean.Due to it, nofap feels tons easier.It not only helps me overcome physical effects of fap but also makes my brain function better.Most importantly,the urges are a lot lesser or maybe just more easier to manage.My personal theory is that it helps burn off the excess testosterone and improve blood circulation.Also it helps to get to know your body better and develop better body image.

    Why do you think exercise helps with nofap?Share your experience with exercise helping in nofap so maybe it may inspire others to workout?:)

    Exercising is self-fulfilling, releases endorphines, and last but not least depletes your energy levels to the point where fapping doesn't seem very interesting anymore.

    Everything he said plus the most obvious: exercise reduces stress. That's irrefutable. Stress, in one manifestation or another, is probably the biggest cause of relapse. New seek out porn (and the shot of dopamine that goes with it) to avoid feeling stress.

    Yep, I'm with @crushurcravings and @Shai_Halud ie stress relief and endorphines. Maybe it's Nature's little reward for using energy more effectively!
     
  5. Besides the physiological benefits mentioned already, I've noticed that when I exercise feel like I'm taking care of myself. That gives me the fortitude to take care of myself in other ways, mental ways. And don't underestimate the fact that when you go out to exercise you are physically and mentally removing yourself from PMO, for some time at least. The tradeoff of time and priorities for healthier options like exercise reinforces the benefits of NoFap.

    I have been doing a lot of exercising myself (2x day). One day I was really sexually frustrated and decided to go run it off. I had the most energy that day, seem like that tension creates energy. I don't know the science behind, but going to the gym has definitely been helping me.
