    OK Jack
PMO has become an incredible waste of time that can drag me down so that I achieve far less than I am capable of. I have found that I can binge on and off for days at a time with P and edging. I see masturbation as a weakness denying me of strength. I have a very happy marriage but we do not have sex anymore. My wife does not have any urges. I still see masturbating as cheating and want to see if I can be faithful even without marital sex. I want to be a strong man who has sexual feelings but can resist giving in to them

For me celibacy means NO SEXUAL ACTIVITY - that means no porn, no edging, banishing sexual thoughts as soon as they enter my head
avoiding masturbation and any stimulation of the genitals. Erections are natural and if they happen in bed celibacy means make sure that I do not stimulate myself in any way. That may mean lying on my side, making sure clothing is loose and so on.

In your journal @JackStrident you talk about abstaining for a year in the first instance. Lets do it! Lets give each other strength!

  3. OK I'm game!
But since I (and I think you do too) have a tendency to disappear for longs lengths of time perhaps we need to make an additional commitment to post on nofap regularly. Should it be daily? What do you think?

  4. Basically my reasons and definition is very close to @Jonny123
Celibacy for me = total sexual abstinence.
I too am married, wouldn't call it happily though, and there is no desire for sex in my marriage.
I see sex, especially masturbation as an illusion that drains me and changes my personality. I have always struggled to be more comfortable with myself, more confident, more alive and alert to the world, to be a better a person.... and I have also always imagined that with the right woman, or a better or different woman, this would all fall into place... but instead it is, in fact, the reverse. It is the fantasizing, especially when supercharged with masturbation, that is sapping my strength and making me feel inadequate and insecure.
It's not like when I pass the 60 day mark everything is wonderful. But I am on average in a much better place.

How do you guys cope with erections?
Today has been very busy and have felt a buzz with it and free of significant urges thank goodness - which is surprising because last night I had a disturbed sleep plagued by waking up with erections in the middle of the night. I dont mind these and can cope at the weekend - but it seems unfair during the week lol when I have to get up for work. If it becomes a pattern I need to think what I a doing during the day that might cause them. I am doing better at diverting my attention quickly from any hint of impure thoughts and I can see my desire to watch porn receding ( or at least the pull of porn is getting considerably less) - so I dont know what I am doing wrong.
It is good getting into double figures but I know I must not be complacent. I dont know if it is imagination or an illusion but a couple of times today as I busied myself with things and felt content - I did feel a certain glow and thought "this celibacy is ok"

    Hi everyone.
Is it possible to chat on Skype with a celibate?
I would like to talk someone. Is it really possible to find happinness in single life?
I am 33 years old now, and never had girlfriend. The only one that I love now, she said she does not want sex and marriage. I don't know what future holds in my life, but at this moment I don't see any hope to have a normal relationship now.

I am a christian believer, too, so I can speak about God, too.
My singleness is involuntary now, but I would like to find what God wants in my life. I would like to accept what he wants in my life.

Is there any christian celibate man or woman who would like to chat with me with Skype?

Well, I think relationships do take a lot of time and effort. That's OK, but celibacy has a lot to offer. One can gain amazing things when one is celibate. So I've heard. I do meditate everyday, and it's great! it is already a big motivation. I have heard that preserving semen is powerful as it is the essence of all one's energy. So I wanna try it out!

  13. Hey you,
I am here for a parttime or long-term celibate. I never had a girlfriend before and -dont- do ONS of course. I think wet dreams are very annoying, that was a main reason for me to 'fap'. The short O arnt giving me what I really want. Maybe its just annoying cause faping to often? I have less urge to PM(O) than fear about this dreams. This is a harder task. But I heard, that PMO-free time is very positive / healthy? for psychological/biological processes in the body&mind. So I started it and see marks at 40 / 90 days. Maybe longer, maybe never again, till I have a girlfriend or not. Perhaps celibate can help me to envolve my personality to gain this upper goal. Let's see how it works for me. Wish me the best, i dont wanna stop it soon ;)
Best greetings to all of you! :)

Hey guys. I'm Kevin. I'm a 54 year old male from Chicago. I identify as gay but I have been voluntarily sex-free for about 7 years. I gave up sex due to addictive searching for sex and hookups. I really don't miss the sex and I'm a lot happier being done with all that. However, I've struggled with masturbation for years. I've had several months of abstinence only to slip back into compulsive masturbation. I've tried various alternatives like prostate milking but at this point I want to be fully sex/masturbation/orgasm free.

Hi Kevin. Great to see you on here. Masturbation is a big problem because of its compulsive nature. If you have managed to leave partner sex behind for so long then maybe a further jump into being completely PMO free is for you. Perhaps you should add "o" to your tracker.
Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hey thanks, man! I didn't realize there were different levels of goals on the tracker! Being orgasm-free is definitely my goal!

  17. I want to be celibate and retain my semen for a couple of reasons. When I am retaining my seamen, not engaging in PMO and living a pure celibate life I:
    1. I feel like I am a better person in many ways, I feel physically healthier. I am more emotionally and mentally stable. Intellectually I am super curious to learn about so many things. I am full of ideas and am so much more creative. I treat other people better and have more patience and empathy.
    2. I am more motivated to do what needs to be done and to follow my dreams and become the person that I want to be.
    3. I am at peace with myself.
    4. I feel connected to the universe, rather than being lost within my addictions.
    5. I feel like a spiritual giant.
    6. I like the way it feels to have all that energy retained within my body.
I am a single gay man. If I ended up in a relationship with another man it would have to be with a person who has the same desire to live a sex-free, pure celibate life, where love is everything and sex is nothing. A close and intimate relationship does not have to include sex, and I would argue that a sexless relationship may be a closer and more intimate one. Finding another man who shares the same ideals is not likely to happen so I am happy to live as a single man enjoying the pleasures of celibacy. I believe celibacy should be enjoyed, we are not missing out on anything we are gaining something. Celibacy should not be hard work or unpleasant

My longest streak of being PMO free is a little over a year. Anyone can stumble, be mindful of your thoughts as that is where a relapse begins. I agree with this groups definition of celibacy. Celibacy is for me being PMO free, plus Monk Mode, no sexual thoughts or actions.
