Why no quoting?

    I don't understand this rule:
Most of the posts on this forum are not private. For example if some random person does a Google search for, say, defining pornography site:nofap.com then Google will show them several interesting posts on NoFap, including one of my journal entries. They can read the posts (without logging on) and could quote them in tweets, blog posts, etc. So, given that journal posts are publicly readable by non-members, why do we have a rule that prevents quoting them on the site?
  2. I have no idea if this is why the rule exists, but I've seen some people get in arguements and start quoting stuff from peoples old journals like to mock them or embarrass them or something. So idk, maybe that has something to do with it?
