So paying a woman for sex is illegal, unless you film it and put it on the Internet. The porn industry needs to be shut down. I don't mean block internet access to it, I mean make production of pornography illegal just like drugs. Why does no one give a crap? Why is this not being talked about? At most they talk about how it's bad because it objectifies women's bodies, when it's SO much deeper than that. If you speak out against porn, people scoff at you and call you a puritan prude. I would much rather prostitution be legal because at least that's real sex, even if it's obtained unnaturally. Like seriously in my early teens I was watching porn sometimes 8 hours a day. I couldn't imagine what it was like to have sex with a woman. My entire sexual experience at that point was imagining myself in internet porn scenes, so I was conditioned to that. I couldn't imagine having sex with an actual girl without having to imagine some porn scene. This is literally destroying society, and I didn't realise how bad it was until I was on my 90 streak, and now after my relapse I'm even more aware of its horrible affects. I just had to rant about this, and I know I'm preaching to the choir, but if I posted this in any other place, people would start wailing about their rights to indulge in this filth and tell me to get out of the 19th century.
It makes me sick too. To know that every single day, kids minds are being destroyed by this digusting disease. I hate it so much, its ruined my life and it feels like theres nothing i can do
Because our addiction is not well known. Nobody will laugh at you when you say you are alcoholic or drug addict but if you mention porn everyone will just laugh at you. I have friends who are doctors and when i mention something about porn being bad they laugh. Even when there is proof that brain of porn addict is the same as brain of heroin addict, people will still not belive in you. People don't think you can be addict form that. I think maybe in 2030 year or more this will be accepted and porn might get banned. But now at least i would love to see WARNING like on cigaretes, on them it writes you can get cancer, when you enter on porn site it should write all negativne efects. If i knew it before...
I dont believe it should be illegal but I would like to see them enforce a way to prevent people under 18 from viewing it such as having to prove your age before entering pornHub and the other tube sites. The reason I dont think it should be illegal is that there are some men who are so ugly that they have no way of attracting a woman and also there are married men that if they see porn they wont feel compelled to "actually cheat" on the wife and also it keeps rapists and pedophiles satiated so that they dont actually hurt real life people
Yes this is a fantastic idea. Every single video uploaded on porn sites must have something like this come up on the screen before it starts : "WARNING, VIEWING SUCH VIDEOS CAN CAUSE YOU LONG TERM MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HARM such as : Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction (PIED)" etc etc. At least this way maybe it will help people realize the consequences and get some people to say hmm, what's PIED? maybe I should cut back. Like you said, we're already doing it for cigarettes so why not this. But you're right I think we are years if not decades away from this. I don't think it will ever be illegal though.
I think there should be deadth penalty for producing, making money and actively spreading porn. Just a shot in the neck would be fine.
Look man, you can't stop porn. People will literally go underground to buy it, or they'll just use a VPN/proxy/seedbox. What you can do is atleast have an honest talk with your kids and loved ones about it.
If only it were that simple. I wish it was. You mentioned making it illegal like drugs, well drugs is unfortunately booming and brings with it a number of other associated criminal behaviours. I don't think making porn illegal would work any better. The best way IMO, is to help community where you can, lead by example, and talk about negative porn effects so people can make an informed decision about it. This forum and other places like it are leading the charge. And we can all make a small impact in the real world too. As embarrassing as it may be, when someone asks how you've suddenly become more healthy/productive/compassionate, you can say you make a conscious decision to change a few things, including not watching adult videos anymore. You don't have to mention 'porn addict' or convince them of the concept, you can simply say "it didn't align with my values anymore, so I tried living without it and found I felt better". That could be the conversation that changes their perception to porn!
I don't understand how P wouldn't just make a rapist/pedophile want to escalate more and act out their fantasies. However, I don't think P should be banned for two reasons: 1. An effective ban would be extremely difficult to put in place 2. There is a good argument from a libertarian perspective of people doing what they want as long as they aren't harming others. That being said, if I was given an infinity gauntlet right now, I probably would remove P from existence.
In my country, the government blocked all porn site but the porn creator just changed the domain name like nothing happen. They already blocked pornhub but I can easily access with VPN. So I think we need more technology instead of blocking, like an A.I porn filter
You say paying a woman for sex is illegal but that is not actually the case. It's legal in Amsterdam, Spain, Germany, Australia (from what I can gather from the YouTube "decline" )and some us states. Personal responsibility man. Just because it's out there does not mean you got to view it. I do agree that technology is trashing our lives to a large extent. Tinder has ruined dating etc. However the rabbit is out of the box and once it's out it's very difficult to be put back in.
I recently fall in love with Microsoft, just look at all their product, all of them are productive. Unlike other company, google and facebook, the target of these company are dump people(80% of the planet). Microsoft's target is the remaining 20% who can make the world a better place. Google products are tricky, they both productive and addictive at the same time. Google also owned android, Android accounted for more than 80% of all smartphone sales worldwide. We used addictive product, that how we are addicted in the first place. PMO is just one of many symptoms
You know what I think that to stop your teenage boy watching porn, you should wait till you're certain he's watching porn and then one day invite him to sit down and watch a video with you him. Then turn on a porno. Force him through the immense embarrassment but also warn him and tell him that this is what you watched and it destroyed your life and you don't want him to do the same. Maybe the shock affect and the embarrassing association porn will now have is enough to stop a kid in his tracks if you catch him early enough. I started M when I was 12. At first I used my imagination as I believed porn was a sin. Then I started to rationalise it, I wouldn't go to any porn sites, but rather vimeo and find an explicit movie scene. It wasn't porn, oh no, just part of a movie, so wasn't a sin. And then it progressed on and on... And I just thought this was normal. It's become part of our culture. It's just accepted that teenage boys watch porn. If only I could turn back time.
I really feel for you teenagers and young men. When I was you ages porn was a lot harder to come by. And it sure the hell wasn’t free either. (Unless I stolen a issue of Jugs from my big brother.) Free Porn should be against the law. Freedom of Speech my ass!!
if the government wants to create mass murders through making humans husks then they can. They know what they're doing. world leaders need to die
This world has become degenerate by lack of old beliefs and morals. But back on topic, I don't think making porn illigal is realistic in the western world. However they should definitely make it easy for people to block it if they don't wish themselves or there loves ones to see it.
I'm curious but what country you live in? It's rare that a government cares about the well-being of its people like a father to a son would.
