Answer: Dopamine. Forget self esteem, forget morals, forget character or balancing good and evil. As a species we have evolved (or if you prefer have been created) to love dopamine. Best drug in the world.

You ask the million dollar question: why is this world fueled by sex? That is the alpha and omega of the problem. The world IS fueled by sex. Why? Because of all the things we are biologically wired to want, whether we want to want it or not, sex is the thing we want the most. You can judge that, but I suggest you simply accept that, like all other mammalian species, we are wired to want sex. We are not necessarily wired to have to have sex, meaning we can decide to or not, but wanting it, that is one of the things each of us is wired to want. It can't be turned off. Understood and controlled? Yes, but turned off? No. Why? It is not a bad thing, not an evil thing, it is nature, it is how nature promulgates the species. We want to have sex because having sex is how the species continues its existence.

You say there are triggers in your house. True. Brother, if you were alone on a desert island with only a palm tree and coconuts there would be triggers because triggers are not, ever, not really, external. Triggers are always internal because a dopamine high is always internal. It is your primitive brain giving itself an artificially high, dopamine high. The problem with porn and the porn addicted mind, is that it craves a dopamine high every day, multiple times a day, for days and weeks and months on end. The thing is...you CAN get clean, but it will take some effort, and you won't get there in ignorance. Study your problem, know your enemy. You think porn is your enemy, but porn is just a button to get a dopamine high. Your enemy? Your enemy is yourself, your dopamine soaked brain, and the fact you keep pushing the button to get it. We all do in the beginning until...we learn not to. It took years to train yourself to get a constant dopamine high, it will take at least 90 days hard mode to train yourself not do. You have been here long enough to know about "hard mode".

Next, get some tools. Don't do it alone, K9 porn blocker is probably the best. No, you can get around it if you are committed to watching porn, aka getting a dopamine high, but if you are committed to staying sober, it helps slow you down, reminds you what you are doing. And, what are you doing? You are doing one of two things, quitting porn or not quitting porn. There are a thousand interesting ways of not quitting porn, that is continuing to indulge the addiction, but there is only one, very uninteresting, very painful, way to quit porn and that is: to quit porn.

Do not underestimate withdrawals, you have to plan on them, expect them, accept them, even want them. Withdrawals suck. They are physical, emotional, and mental anguish. Good times. That...is sarcasm, by the way, look it up.

The world is fueled by sex because sex is what fuels the world. It is not a bad thing, but you need to recognize what it is, and take control of yourself. You have natural motivations, whether you like it or not, you just have to recognize that, and control them, rather than them controlling you.

I think the small amount of people who runs the Porn Industry wants to keep the average person thinking on a animalistic level, meaning that they want us vibrating at the lowest energy center. They don't want is to think nothing higher than Sex, if's you do then that's when you become a problem. I think being addicted to Sex is mind control, I'm just being honest with y'all we are beening program to only think about Sex. I also think they put the Sex desire in us subconsciously, then when we see a certain things or images it triggers that desires then we feed that desire over and over, then we become addicted, then we use sex to escape our problems with the same desire they put in us in the first place. This issue is a lot bigger and deeper than many people could imagine. Once you look at sex addiction from different standpoint, a different view, it makes you wonder why the hell I'm addicted to Sex in the first place. So It's sad to say that us Porn addicts aren't in tune with the creator because our sex addiction stops us. So me re-learning those things now made want to forget Porn forever. Peace

 

Money and demand. People are willing to pay money for it and some women need money. And its a losing game for everyone except maybe the directors. But when money is flashed even if it isn't much people flock to it.

Its bad but lets face it sex sells. Its the most effective way to get something sold. As time has gone on our society as a whole has found itself desensitized to the idea of sex. Just look at magazines girls are showing more than ever. Was it inevitable probably not but some things just happen. And people are becoming more comfortable with sexuality and not a lot of research has gone into why porn is bad. Think back to when cigarettes were first released no evidence that it was bad and millions of people did it. Now less than 20% do.

Porn viewing will probably never go that low but eventually more people will realize oh jee its not working again. I think we are the first generation of 20 year olds who need viagra I mean ouch. There is no one answer in fact there are probably a million. But the trick is just to laugh when you see it and go the other way. That isn't the person you want to be. So just stay away.

Same question, same answer: All these are able to trigger deep emotions in some unstable people. So extremely deep, that these people are willing to PAY. And you know, money can be very dirty. There are always people who do not care if they have dirty hands, as long as their wallet is filled up to the brim.

Now let's ask: Why are people unstable? Answer: Because of missing love. They have a gap in their soul. They need very long to heal the wounds. Once the wounds are healed, the addiction fades away.

 

Because sex is fun. And people like to have fun.

 

Is it really hard to imagine why porn exists? Why do you suppose drugs exist? How about alcohol? It's all about escaping reality for a couple of minutes/hours. That's why movies are so popular, and why people spend hours upon hours every day staring at a computer screen.

More importantly, I think porn exists because it sells. What do men desire most second to water and food? It's sex, and lots of it.
