Wife asking husband to send flirty messages to other women?

Has anybody heard of wives asking their husbands to send flirty messages to women? My brother's wife has separated and started a divorce, but this was one her demands.

It sounds crazy to me. My brother has been concerned that his wife's medications are affecting her mind, but maybe this demand isn't as weird as it sounds to me? I wondered if his wife might have fantasies of threesomes or swapping or something? Did this come from a movie such as "50 Shades of Gray"?

  3. I've never heard of this. Maybe it is her way of justifying her own actions of sending these types of messages?

Maybe. I wish I understood her thinking, because my brother is not doing the things he should be doing to protect himself in a divorce as he clings to hope. When I heard about this demand it made me think their marriage is hopeless.

  5. It sounds strange but not impossible. I also wonder if this was said while being upset, like go ahead, I don't care anymore. Which usually means don't you dare....or it really is beyond he point of return.

No, I guess she had a long list of demands. For example, she wanted him to quit drinking, and he did that, and she wanted him to change to stop going to the Eastern Orthodox church, and he agreed to that too. He didn't understand the demand to send 30 flirty email messages to strange women, so he didn't do that for her.

She has seizures and depression and my brother suspects that her medication is making her irrationally angry. The nurse warned him that this could be a side effect. Unfortunately telling her that her medications are responsible only makes her more angry.

  7. It sounds like she need help. I don't know if it would calm her down if he "sent" them to nowhere, while he has time to get her some help.
