    Hey,

I just checked out what was written on wikipedia about porn addiction and found (a bit expected, but also a bit schocked) it is not conclusive that it really exists yet. Medically.

Now it got me thinking about PIED, fortunately I have not had major problems with Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction. I only experienced DE once or twice the first few times I had IC.

Well, I was wondering if someone knew how to get something about PIED on wikipedia. I mean the article doesn't even have to credit whether it is legitimate or not, the fact that many people would experience it should be enough to make it a publishable phenomenom right?

I just feel it is something important that needs to be on there and has to be linked to ED(Erectile Dysfunction) if possible. It is in a way I think the biggest evidence for the existence of (high speed internet) pornography addiction. Or at the very least if it can't be called that, it is proof that excessive use of P leads to severe desensitization

Let me know what you think and if you could do something about it.

  2. I consider it a serious ethical violation to report something as a medical fact which has not yet been agreed upon by the healthcare community, especially when there is a lack of evidence or existence of contradictory or inconclusive findings. If people want to draw conclusions about the research, then they are free to do so, and need only look at the research for themselves. The role of Wikipedia is not activism. If they want to learn about the harmful effects of porn, they should go to nofap.com or yourbrainonporn.com or the host of other websites that promote research and anecdotal evidence for these claims. If they want an unbiased, objective look at what the academic community has discovered, then they should go to databases or academic journals. I don't believe in propaganda, even if it's for a cause I agree with.

I edited this like 8 times, sorry if anyone was reading while I was doing this.

There is a good chance that I completely misinterpreted what you were trying to say. If you meant that Wikipedia should reference the theory of PIED as a phrase coined by rebooters then sure, I don't see why not. But it should only report the facts, and not opinions.
