Will Anti-anxiety Medication Help?

Medication won't fix the problem. It may help, but you may also become addicted to that as well. For supplements, might I recommend St. John's Wart or 5-HTP. Both are inexpensive, and both are natural. St. John's Wart is an herb that helps with mood health and 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin. If you have the money, Onnit's New Mood is a great supplement. I took it after my father died, and it helped to keep me calm when I was going through all of the grief.

Ultimately, you have the answers within yourself. Anxiety is often psychosomatic, and taking a few deep breaths and simplifying your thoughts is far more effective than taking a highly addictive pill ever will be. To be blunt, you need to start taking some notes and figuring out how to solve your problem rather than dwelling on the fact that you have anxiety. You just said that you were unemployed. Well, did you have this kind of anxiety when you were employed? You also said that rapping calms you down. Have you always turned to PMO every time you felt anxious?
They can have side-effects but please see the link I posted above.

Get back to having a real life and you’ll gradually lose interest in pmo. Why wait until you can go a certain number of days before getting your life back together? Do it now.
I've been thinking about this. I'm making an effort to get more responsibility into my life and just have more going on generally. The porn issues and real lift tend to track together. Watching porn for hours and fapping kills my motivation to get some real life activities going. I'm also kind of afraid if I get a girlfriend or a job becuase at this point I think I will them up due to my porn problem. I think my issue with porn is at the level of an addiction to be honest.

"Serotonin inhibits impulsive behavior, while dopamine enhances impulsivity."
I do think there are benefits from refraining from masturbating less frequently. The problem though is some fetishes can cause extremely severe mental damage after curing a porn addiction.
Good to know.

I disagree with out, I believe exercises one of the best stimulus for the brain to induce changes, and "rewire" itself. On my profile you can find a link to a study, they investigated their fMRI results to non exercising addict controls. In short those who not exercised did not experience as much brain healing, meanwhile exercising addicts showed positive results

What physical pain you main? Burning muscles, or skin maybe? I had those too.

btw your swearing advice sound interesting, i will try that too.
Exercise makes it a lot easier to abstain. I am not good at keeping habits, but reminders like this help.

I've always had anxiety ever since I was a child. I grew up in chaotic household. I think experiencing trauma when you're young permanently changes the brain. It's like you're always on the lookout for danger even when you get older.

I've also been doing PMO since I was a child. It was one of the ways I could escape the chaos of my life such as it was then.

I'll look into the supplements you mentioned. One thing that's frustrating is that there arn't good studies on a lot of these supplements so a lot of the information is anecdotal and unreliable.

stop using medications and try to meditate, awareness can heal all kind of stress, which is, in most of times, just the consequences of more deep motives, which u can not observe in active life. You always have to chill, stop ur mind flow, change the perspective of your view from external to internal, and only then you will be able to observe the real causes of anxieties and depresisons, and not only. If you have hyperactive state you can buy kratom extract to chill ur body, and just then you should go deep inside this game named life to find out the answers and rules.
