Will we ever recover? Im feeling a little pesimistic right now. I was very much into the highway of the 90 days (dont get me wrong, Im on it yet) and I read some post of someone who relapsed at 17 months. 17 months!! How is this possible? I thought 90 would be enough for me to get rid of the mind fog, most of the anxiety, and self-discipline build up. I would feel like crap if 3 months passed by and I didn't achieve anything. Also can't believe someone would relapse at 17 months, thats almost a year and a half, I thought that a year would be enough to turn myself into a superhuman. I guess it also has something to do with your life plans and purposes, and with your daily activities. Idk, it's not my intention to make you pessimistic, sorry if I did.

  2. Dude, be prepared. I'm 22 months in and still dont have a libido and my erections are on and off. Mind you I wasnt bothered about that initially it was more about getting rid of debilitating brain fog accompanied with unbearable withdrawal symptoms. I had about 25-30 symptoms from this shit. I hate porn but I have had some days where my lizard brain is still curious I'll stumble on it and I remind myself how far I've come and how much shir I've been through not to do it again.

The only way recovery lasts longer is if you fuck about and dont take it seriously. Give it your best to never relapse again.

  3. I relapsed for a full year after 18 months of no P.

The only way to recover is one day at a time. Today, I am free from P, P-subs, M, and all unhelpful sexual ideation.

Tomorrow, I will endeavor to do the same. But for now, I am only concerned with today.

I wish you the best on your journey of recovery!

It's difficult I know but the key to never go back to porn "in my option" is in two points:

1- To realize and believe and have an inner persuasion that porn is evil and it destroyed your life and you are better off without it.

2- To have a plan in life, specifically, to do what you really really wanted to achieve and work on getting it. If you have nothing then set plans and purposes.

It's easier said than done I know, but if you really do these two things you will NEVER go back to porn!
