I run 2 miles a day, 5 days a week. I also do some light strength training 3 days a week. Will I be able to lose belly fat and weight if I keep going with this. Even without taking food into account?

Also will this help out with social anxiety?

Hard to say especially if you don't consider food. Even if you ran 2 miles a day 5x a week and 3x strength training a week, a body that eats more to compensate for the increased expenditure will lead to little to no reduction in body fat. Yes you will probably gain hypertrophy in the muscle department which will boost your resting metabolic rate, but you should always aim for progressive overload whilst still doing a similar routine.

Perhaps you can make it a goal to increase intensity to heighten the post workout oxygen consumption to aid in fat burning.

Burning more calories than you consume will probably lead to weight loss. You usually need to take food into account when looking at weight loss.
It could help with social anxiety in some way.

Are you trying to decide whether to carry on running? Why do you run now?

  4. There will be benefits from running and excersizing. But theres a saying, "You cant outwork a bad diet".
Yes running and excersizing will help with anxiety and will also help direct time and energy into a positive manor instead of into porn consumption.
But if you want to get in shape and be healthy, you need to eat and drink right. Once youre eating right and combining that with your excersizing and work out, youll notice a huge difference. I made a lifestyle change about a month ago. Started getting up 2 hours earlier to give my time to work out before i go to work. I also eat healthy and drink healthy. Not only do i look better, i have more energy, more confidence, and knowing that im putting my time and effort i to something positive has given me a better attitude in general. On top of excersizing, and eating well, i also stopped pmo around that same time, which i also recommend if thats a problem for you as well. Good luck on your journey.

You must take food into account, sorry, but you get out what you put in. Training is important, but diet and sleep come first. The most important things, in order
    1. How much you eat (calories)
    2. The type of food you eat (whole foods vs processed fast food)
    3. Your macronutrient ratios (fat, proteins, and carbs)
Cut down the amount you eat, try to eat more healthy foods, and get some more protein in.

Yes, but you should try watch what you eat as well. That way you'll both lose weight faster and not gain it all back when (if?) you stop running every day.
First time I lost weight, I didn't watch what I was eating, so naturally, the moment I stopped exercising, I started going up again. The second time, I watched what I ate more, so I lost a little more weight and didn't gain as much during th periods when I couldn't run as much.

There's been some exciting developments in our understanding of insulin's role in weight gain. To lose weight, you might only need to restrict your food intake to a shorter period in the day. Of course, eating healthy is always better, but it seems like how much you eat is not the biggest factor here, because our basal metabolic rate ebbs and flows with our calorie intake.

Running is a good start but is not the core solution. Losing wheight is simple:
    1. Be at a calory deficit every day.
    2. Work out at least 5 days a week
    3. Sleep at least 8 hours a day
    4. Eat clean(no junk food, cola, chips, alcohol, candy, juice, cake, etc)
    5. Eat food with good nutrional value like steak, chicken, advocado, brocolli, etc.
    6. Do both cardio and wheight training.

But its not about the wheight, but about preventing the fat from coming back.
So make sure your lifestyle changes are for good.

I lost alot of fat with the Intermittent Fasting (16:8) method, maybe it will also work for you, just try it for a month and see.

Isn't preventing the fat from coming back more of a goal once you lost the fat in the first place?

Yes, but it works together as a lifestyle package. Losing fat is not going to be a steady trip and you should not trust your scale since alot of bad days are just extra water retention. So focus on the long term, because there are no short cuts like x-day diets or cleansing drinks. Its going to take hard work and stay hard until you die. Much like our nofap journey which we have to maintain till the very end.

I know, I'm focusing on something I can maintain, just trying to jump start it a little.
