Is willpower limited? Can you guit porn just using willpower? Has it worked for anyone?

I'll assume that by willpower you mean quitting porn without the use of blockers, getting rid of internet connection, or other external world fixes.

If so, then the answer is yes, many guys have quit using willpower alone. Or at least have abstained for multiple 100s of days, which is all that we can really know since we can't see the future.

Hi seuqsiaw, ultimately one quitting must use their own willpower to stop. However, in the meantime, porn blockers are helpful reminders that we are quitting.

I feel like will power can only be used like once you get the hang of it. In order to do that you must use other tools such as blockers

Willpower is limited. Someone wrote a book that discusses this but I don't remember the name of it. They found that if you used a certain amount of willpower on a decision, there was less left to resist something else. There were some nice experiments that demonstrated it elegantly.

if you have a strong enough understanding and conviction you need muss less will power to succeed. At least in my experience.
