Have you tried cold showers, yet? ... I guess you can do mindful meditation. Like "these are my feet. These are my shins...." or try aromatherapy. Make some tea and just breathe in the aromatics)

i'm very impressed you've gotten to 38 days. I'm on day 8 and doing pretty good. Certain things will trigger the desire, but I try to do my favorite things to get my mind off of it. I think that it will pass and try to think of what may trigger it (if there is a trigger). Not sure it this helps or not but I'm pulling for you.

The best method is..... conversation with other people! Try it... I know it's hard sometimes because we were isolated and antisocial but try... go to shop talk to saleswoman, go to swimming pool! Sauna is also good with cold showers :) take care!

Hell yeah I'm doing them! I'm at the point where the water doesn't get cold enough for me! I don't enjoy getting in them, but when I get out I don't see how I enjoyed anything else.

Are you keeping a journal going? Maybe write in that more often? Even if it is just "this sucks. This sucks. This sucks." Hopefully you'll get writing and can write a story about something. We'll see where I'm at next week lol

You gotta fight man! Thats the accumbens, prolactin and deltafosb that still have an affect. It takes more time for these to really start dropping off. Worse thing you can do now is relapse.

How long is this deltafosb shit is going to be there?
I heard it usually clears off in 4 to 6 weeks, and its effect is strongest when is leaving, hence, withdrawal symptoms

Hey I'm new here but I feel you bro! My last streak was like a month or so, I had some of your symptoms but yours are pretty severe! Of course DO NOT give in, this is the way temptation and addiction strikes - it makes you feel weak, physically and as if you have no willpower. Just think about /or read on NoFap/ about all the great benefits that await you. Plain and simple, despite what you're going through, you are headed toward excellence and health and behind you is only misery and slavery.

As some have pointed out, don't forget the mind over body principle, even science is now acknowledging that your thoughts affect you body, not only the other way around. So your brain feels dopamine withdrawal, your body reacts and makes you feel uncomfortable - it's trying to you get it what it wants. Just as in any crysis situation if you are in a state of deep awareness you can react independently of your body. For example, if you feel unmotivated /say to go out/, you just do it! Don't wait for the motivation to come, just do what it takes to get you better. You are also very brave and resolute if you are even attempting a reboot, so focus on this power of will that has gotten you so far.

For the mental/spiritual side, I saw you mention prayer in you signature. I'm not sure how much you are into such things but if you have faith lean into it, especially praying/chanting/meditating or whatever your personal practice. Many have found peace and strength this way. Again, this has to be done despite the withdrawal symptoms, think of it as a cure, and you have to take your medicine when you are sick, right?

For the physical side, for insomnia I got myself some melatonin tablets. This is *not* a 'sleeping pill', it's a naturally produced hormone in the brain which regulates sleep, so it's considered safe and non-adictive. It just makes me feel 'tired' and start yawning until eventually I'm so sleepy I want to go to sleep.
Note: you can still do something else or wake yourself up again, so when the sleepiness kicks in, immediately go to bed! You could also check out valerian extract, it's herbal and easily available in pharmacies at least in my country. It's like a mild sedative and will get u calm if u feel anxiety and/or increased heart rate.
Of course it's always good to check with your doctor before taking any pills or at least research them first in case you have allergies.

Stay strong brother and remember - you are not alone and what you're going through is worth it!

Keep in mind those timelines I posted are estimated, not exact. Depending on how bad you're addicted, the healing process and adjustment time where cravings for porn really diminish may take longer than the numbers posted.
