Hi everyone. I am new here. About 2-3 weeks ago, I made a pledge to stop looking at all thing on-line which aroused me in any way. I have stuck to this so far but I feel I may be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. I used to look at sexual things online every day, sometimes twice a day.

I am still masturbating (I am taking things one step at a time).

Does anyone else experience withdrawal symptoms?

I am feeling extremely tired and anxious. I feel like I am crashing and I have no energy. I am also agitated and really want to give in.

Is this a symptom of going cold turkey or is it something else?

yup. withdrawals, that wonderful time when your body says "gimme gimme gimme!!!" and you say "no, this dopamine is not the best thing for me right now" and then you are the stronger man because u rule your body, not vice-versa.

How long will this feeling last?

Also how did you get that target bar on the bottom of your post?

Everyone is different. I noticed that my withdrawal started getting better after about a week, with urges getting better after about 3 weeks.

As for the counter at the bottom, just click on a counter, and you can get your own. :)

Good luck with your fight my friend.

Thanks. I have worked out why I fap off more than usual. Its when I am bored with my university work or if it is when I am extremely frustrated with something,

It'll get better day by day. Thing is, you need to actively pursue to contest this feeling of withdrawal, meaning: catch up with a friend, socialise more with your roommate/go do something together etc. This will help too. And remember: you wont receive friendship if you dont offer it first.

I agree with willem! fill your extra free time with other things. It really helps!! Withdrawals are no fun, but I remember reminding myself that my brain is wanting dopamine so it was punishing me, so I shot right back and didn't give it any!
