Withdrawals

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Dagger323, Mar 30, 2018.

  1. Any of you guys get dull brain pains, I've heard this is a possible withdrawal symptom? I never got it before, until a year ago, I've been attempting reboot for 3 years and was a heavy user, finally been getting better streaks this year.

I was getting pretty severe tension headaches for quite a while when I was using heavily. Since I started my reboot they’ve been gone for the most part until about a week ago, then I started getting dull pains in my forehead and down the back of my neck. I think this is due to withdrawals though, as nothing I’ve taken seems to relieve the pain. They’re not constant either; they come and go throughout the day.

  3. Do you have anxiety? Sounds like you have some tension. Do you notice these tension? Try meditating and relaxing your entire body or get a massage, just relax and let everything go for a bit, relax your body and muscles.

The anxiety isn’t causing the headaches man. If anything my anxiety has gotten better. Headaches are a common withdrawal symptom during rebooting and are mostly just your brain adjusting to life without PMO. I know they’ll go away eventually just like many of my other withdrawals symptoms have. Sometimes I have them, other days I don’t. Just part of the process...

I made a post recently here about my weird symptoms: (I am not sure if I can count some of them as withdrawal)
    https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.p...day-3-now-and-weird-range-of-feelings.165749/

After reading symptoms in this thread, I would also like to add lack of motivation to my list and I am also feeling less hunger too. I struggled to eat food today which I usually eat very easily.

Regarding consipation, if you drink too much water after eating something, the digestive acids inside the stomach gets diluted and lose their power. After eating or before eating, drink only like 50 to 100ml of water. Drink large amounts of water only after having large time gap after eating. This helped me a lot. Also, don't drink any sodas after or before eating anything.

  6. I hope it’s just he process... thanks for your answer, I wish you positivity brother

Normally by now the blue balls would be murder in the reboot process but I’m so flatlined not experiencing them at all. Not feeling anything at all.

I have had stomach stuff off and on since starting reboot. Didn't 'go' right for 3 weeks. I was overjoyed to see normal in the bowl. I have wicked insomnia, shakes, headaches and horrible anxiety. I am at day 55, and last week was my first few days of "better", but now have done 4 days of awful anxiety, chest pain the whole bit. It will get better, I have faith it will, others have done it, we can too

Dull brain pain? I wish. I had a frigging full on, all day, migraine for 40 something days. It now comes and goes. The great part for me is I am 50yo and have had a dozen headaches (maybe) in my entire life!

  12. Wow that sounds horrible! Try running, I noticed when I jog long enough I feel my brain either getting blood flow through or chemicals releasing, either way, it feels really good. 50 huh? You just started reboot recently?

55 days ago. My urologist TOLD me to fap 2 years ago. Right now my snxiety can get so bad I get arhythmia just standing up sometimes. Coupled with insomnia and bad knees it's a challenge to do more than some pushups and an exercise bike right now.

BTW. He's no longer my urologist...

Has your anxiety gotten worse due to withdrawals after you started NoFap or was it always this bad?

  15. Nah fuck that guy, he doesn’t know wassup. You obviously depleted yourself for years, you shouldn’t fap for awhile, a year or two at least. I had physical pains before too, weak all over, but it’s gotten better. You should watch your diet, you’re gonna need nutrition to repair and rebuild, fruits and veggies. Meditate and exercise for your anxiety.

I also noticed increased anxiety after I abstained from porn. Even after 9 months of 'hardmode' it's still here and I have no clue if these are plain withdrawals or just some other underlying fears that were masked by my PMO addiction for years. Sometimes I feel scared and have no explanation why. I just hope this will pass one day, actually this hope keeps me from relapsing, don't want to go through the whole rebooting process for the second time.

Same here. I only got really hooked a couple of years ago when I retired. I never had any issues before quitting. Right now it's still intermittant insomnia, anxiety (sometimes crippling), headaches, tinnitis, shakes and tremors, lethargy. I've never had anything like this before. So beat most days I can't exercise much. I've been trying to watch what I eat, stay busy, meditate etc. If I knew retiring would have given me so much "free time" I wouldn't have ever left my job. I quit porn because I thought it was time. When I got withdrawals, bad, I didn't know it was from quitting fap. I thought I was going crazy. I actually had a pretty good week last week, but then withdrawals slammed down on me again a few days ago.

I'm having the same issue on and off, fwiw. Only since rebooting has this happened and NOTHING relieves the pain, not medication, not chiropractic, nothing.

  20. Do you guys just get random headaches/tensions? Or is it from stress?
