Any recovering addicts or longtime recovery members get severe symptoms in the first few days/weeks? Severe headaches, anxiety, irritability, lack of focus? I feel like the dopamine withdrawal is making my head hurt every day and it makes it very hard to focus or do anything else.

  2. Just don’t relapse and it’ll go away, I had a headache for like two months. It wasn’t bad, but it was there and annoying. Brain fog was pretty strong and emotions very weak

It's a very normal part of the rebooting process. It's a positive thing that you are going through these withdrawal symptoms because it means your brain and body are beginning to repair themselves. They will fade over time but please do not give in to them. Think of those headaches as little workers running around your brain making noise as they repair things!

    Keep going man!

Do they last months? Cause it makes it very hard to avoid relapse if it keeps happening.

You have to be prepared that it can take months (some have more luck and it will not last that long). If you relapse now, you have to start all over again. Think long term, it will be so much better than the alternative.
Eat healthy, go the gym or exercise during this time.

It will all depend on how long and frequently you've been PMOing along with other factors such as got genetic makeup, lifestyle etc. Ride through it. As I said, the fact that it's getting worse before it gets better means you're repairing.

It has been 3 days now and my headaches are getting worse. I feel like I'm going into depression and its feeling like everything is terrible right now. The worst part is that I'm starting a new job this week and I'm not looking forward to it. I suppose having work to do is a helpful to take your mind off things; but still, I hope it doesn't interfere with my work ethic.

  8. Not gonna lie it is absolute shit. Some days will be fantastic, some ok and some terrible. But if you want to recover you’ve got to go through it man. You’ll come out of it a fucking gladiator though. It will be one of the hardest tests of your life but you will reap the rewards if you leave pmo behind.

Just keep battling man. As I said, it's going to get worse before it gets better but you can and will come through it. Your body is repairing.

Think how you will feel in that new job knowing you haven't pmo. As you meet all new people for the first time. Opposed to a reset and knowing you have while you still meet those people. I'm just ahead of you and felt the same on the weekend. Being back at work and busy has helped these last 2days. And exercise/sleep as you don't need to think for these :) be strong and become that gladiator

Well over time the use of pornography and masterbation numbs the neuro cells that produce the dopamine chemicals. Reason why is because we are doing something very unnatural. It effects how we look at girls, our view on sex, our view on reality. The normal function of our brain isn’t their because of this nonsense we put into put minds. There is a cure for stopping porn and masterbation. It’s called TIME. It will take time for our minds to reboot and for us to start seeing reality again, and for our minds to feel normal and loving ourselves as people. But we have to stop cold turkey.

I've been hit with blue balls, and general fatigue pain in random parts of the body.

I just had an intense moment of weakness, but didn't break. I literally had to lie down and just let the bad thoughts pass through my mind while trying to relax my body. Like trying to sleep after ingesting caffeine.
    Completely nuts.

  15. Hey, idk if this is the way, but I started a new job today and I thought I was going into flatline a week ago. More depressed, headache and stuff. Started taking maca, ashwaganda and tongkat Ali; these are all supplements that will get you fired up down there. I’m taking it to get some sexual energy, but it seems to have given me more energy today, taking me out of the slumps kinda, idk just a suggestion

Today I'm feeling very uncomfortable. During most of my attempted reboots I tend to get very twitchy and uncomfortable after the first couple of days and it makes things very difficult. It's not so much pain as just an uncomfortable feeling in my chest that sort of reverberates through my body. I really don't know how to handle it.

  17. Them twitches are related to withdrawal from porn dude and especially the chest. Good news they do go away when you go further in the reboot.

It could be becuase ur doing the opposite of what u have done to ur brain for so long. Some days ur mind will try and do whatever it takes to try and make u give in. Ur brain is like the devil bro. Temps u and makes u feel like u need PMO to feel better. Force ur mind to think otherwise. Becuase remember u are in control of what u do. Ur brain cannot what so ever MAKE u do something. U need to allow ur conscience to help u make the right choice. PMO is very unnatural for the mind.

Aggression and anger might be more than normal as well. It was only a few times (thank God) that it felt like road rage and wanted to smash randomly.

There are days where I find myself "treading the waters" of PMO. Not so much watching anything as just passing by something that happens to be "sexy". I back away from it immediately and I don't consider that a relapse, but I still know that its not a good thing. Hard to avoid stuff like that it today's world; I mean you can barely watch a Hardees commercial without getting both hungry and aroused. Pretty annoying.
