Yikes, I almost slipped...

    Because of a playlist on YouTube I hadn't deleted. It isn't really even overtly sexual in nature, just eye fixation hypnosis featuring a woman who just so happens to drive me wild. I got extremely aroused, but I stopped myself and deleted the playlist.

    I don't know, I really don't know, this is fucking difficult :mad:

    Well, there are a lot of health related videos that I watch on YouTube, so I'm not blocking it. I did delete my triggering playlists and I unsubscribed from any channels that are even remotely arousing though. I'll make it.

    I made a similar mistake not to long ago. Not a playlist, just a series of music videos I knew could be potential triggers. I like you was able to stop in time but it makes the day more difficult then it needs to be. Yours was accidental, hey it happens. Unfortunately mine was not. And did I from my mistake? Not so sure, I watched a couple of videos this morning, that could again trigger me. I think I may have a problem with boredom and/or unstructured time.

    This is, quite possibly, the hardest thing I have ever done. But your right. The benefits far out weigh the difficulty.

    Again now, I went to a site to look for a movie (non-porn) and the user that had it also had some pics of nude women on his profile page. I wasn't expecting this, I wasn;t looking for it, but there it was. I scanned through them for about 60 seconds and my god, I really want to release this extreme pressure, but I'm not going to.

    Arrgh, I don't know how long I'll make it.

    Hey, you can do it! Remember that every time you feel triggered and fight it off, you are exercising your willpower and making it stronger! Several studies have proven that willpower is like a muscle that grows stronger with exercise.

    Sex is everywhere in our society, and you're going to see triggering things all over. But think of each one as a challenge that makes you stronger in the long run. Don't frame it as challenges wearing you down one by one; that's the wrong attitude and it is actually not how the brain works.

    BE PROUD OF YOURSELF, Johnny Chimpo!! You saw those triggering images and you said no! If anything, that proves that you have the strength to get through this.

    Thanks for the encouragement, you're right, we can all do this. I'm doing much better now, I got a lot accomplished today and haven't really been thinking about PMO.
