    Hi there Web team,

I wonder if there's a way you could avoid NoFap emails going directly to Gmail's Spam folder. I know that every Gmail user can go into their Spam folder and mark that your emails are not Spam. But I wonder if you could do it at a higher level. Just so that you don't miss a lot of users registering on your website but assuming that they didn't receive your registration email.

    Thanks!

Mark it as Not Spam, if you haven't already. I believe you can also mark the sender as being safe/trusted. Last but not least, you can create a filter that always sends it to the Inbox (I think).

Since my GMail messages from the site don't go to Spam, it seems like just an issue with email account's spam detection specifically. Probably just needs some re-training :)

Anybody else reporting this? This would be very bad for the NoFap platform, if gmail was automatically flagging us as spam for everyone.

My first email went to my spam folder using gmail. I selected it and marked it "not spam". All others after that went into my inbox. Presto!

Gmail scans words in the content. Since Nofap subject matter is pornography related it probably gets flagged for dozens of words.

I had the same experience as ReadyToStop. But for a while I thought that maybe NoFap.com doesn't work properly, given your requests for donations, etc. It would be nice to have Gmail fix this issue on their end if possible. I use Gmail setup on Apple Mail in my Mac. To properly mark NoFap as Not Spam, I had to log into Gmail using my browser to resolve this issue. But I know several people who have thousands of emails in their Spam folder and hardly ever check any of them. So I guess, end of the day, it's detrimental for NoFap given the fact that most people use Gmail these days. :(

For what it's worth, mine have never gone to Spam on Gmail.

    ^ Same.

It's worth noting however that I've turned off email notifications for thread replies and the like in my preferences here on the forum - it's possible that someone who has thread reply notifications enabled would maybe get them marked as spam due to the sheer volume of emails they get if they're subscribed to a lot of threads. So perhaps that's what's causing it?

No JesusGreen, it was the first few emails from NoFap - registration one and the first few ones after that. NoFap emails continued to go to my Spam until I marked them as No Spam. After that, they started to come to my Inbox. The right way to test I guess is to create a new Gmail address and sign it up for NoFap. Since Gmail's Spam feature is user specific, it learns as the user starts marking emails as Spam as the days go by. However, for a new email address, this is not the case. We can get to test if by default Gmail marks NoFap emails as Spam.
