    HI,

i'm 19 years old and i'm struggling with M and porn addiction for over 5 years!

after 5 years, now i can see it's consequences. i'm so depressed , i can't communicate with other people , i lost my friend's and if this situation goes on and on it's may ruin my career as a student. i love my job so much and i want to progress in my career.

first, how i can block porn site and other services like that? is there any software or something that can help? i need to block them in both my mobile and laptop.

second, is there any Herbal Medicine or something that can help me during this process?

third, is it necessary to change my diet? if it is then please share your knowledge and experience with me and tell me which Foodstuffs can make the situation worse.

i'm a stressful guy. little thing can make me feel bad and almost every time that i face these i go and do M!!!

I masturbate at least 1 times a day and this cause tiredness and lack of motivation.

I know that if i can put porn and M away my life would be so much easier and happier.

so please feel free to share your knowledge and experience with me.

SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGILSH! ;););););)

    Welcome,

If you want to block the websites you can find plenty of things on google... I would advise not because it's you who need to change your internet usage and your view on sex.

Rebooting is for the mind and body, so stop PMO and brainwash yourself daily reading about rebooting/ healthy lifestyle.

A relapse isn't scary, not knowing why is!

It's normal to have emotions or to feel stressed sometimes, maybe start a relaxation practice (qi gong, meditation....).

About herb if you havent a firm mind using medecine to recover energy.. well you're gonna be leaking money and semen^^

If you alreday have a somewhat balanced diet, no you don't (do what step at a time, stop pmo first).

If you have others questions don't hesitate ;)

  4. There's many tools, e.g. SPIN Safe Browser app for mobile and SPIN Safe Browsing Chrome extension. Their filter is really good, it recognized all porn I threw at it. It also forces Safe Search on many search engines and blocks attempts to deactivate it. The downside is it blocks Instagram, Reddit, Twitter so you won't be able to use them on desktop.
That's a good question. I hear very little on supplements here. There was a guy who tried magic mushrooms and said it helped. Some people quit caffeine too. The thing that I can attest to is antidepressants - on them nofap is super easy. But you shouldn't take them unless you're depressed.

If you like motivation in the form of competition, join our challenge!

  6. Start small, and gradually increase the duration. Also come hell or high water, you need to be consistent. Otherwise, sooner or later, you will fall back into old habits.

  7. Hi 19student, here is some random advice. First of al realise what p (short for porn) is. P is not a substitute for sex, love, intimacy, a relation or self esteem. Not even close, more like the opposite. It is designed to get you hooked, corrupted and make you pay.

So how to get it out of your life? First of all, I would recommend quitting p. Not a 90-days detox and then back at it. Just quit, life is so much better without it. P is a major roadblock.

To quit you need to have a strategy. Different for every person but it gets down to having rules of what to do when you feel like watching. My antidote was TED talks. Other people walk the dog. Just something to get your mind of it.

Nofap is excellent for recovery. Write a journal. It helps others too. And talk about it with someone close to you. The step to confess this addiction is a biggie. You will find most people very understanding and helpfull.

Also, avoid loneliness or too much private time. Be around people. You might have to make some lifestyle changes. Join a club, have a hobby. Does not have to be the greatest thing, just do something you like, with a group of nice people to share your hobby with. Photography? Dancing? Sports?

Software to block acces to p did not work for me. But some people like it.

After about 2 weeks, you will feel some changes. It becomes a little more easy. But don't let you guard down! You need to avoid triggers and temptation for years.

IMO, a relapse sucks but it's also part of recovery. It means you need to make a few more changes. If you can learn from a relapse, you are still on you path to recovery.

I can ramble on like this for hours, but let's keep it with this. Good luck!

Welcome to NoFap, want to share some valuable advice concerning diet, nutrition etc. If you’re not on a special diet (consult your doctor GP in this case), because of further, yet not mentioned health problems apart from PMOing, it’s generally of use, if you cut down on sea food, esp. crustaceans, salmon and similar (salt water fish). Also worth trying to avoid too much eggs, mayonnaise, butter and fats like in fat dairy products like different sorts of creams, Creme fraiche, etc. That contains a lot of proteins and lactose. If you eat much fat pork, try not to eat too much of that, it contains much cholesterol and unhealthy proteins. That’s what you should rather avoid. What to eat instead? Well, try more veggies in general. Eating a little of beef together with veggies is good too, because it contains valuable zinc, that you have been, well, [spilling away]. Vital: vitamins, as much fresh fruit as possible and, if you should happen to relapse, don’t forget to have an extra shot of vitamins in form of a drink (like a fizzy multi vitamin tabby diluted in fresh tap water). An extra source of zinc for you is my last advice, but it is very important: try to get hold of pumpkin seeds! Whether as snack (fried and salted kind) or as an extra ingredient in your bread or bun or, even better, as part of a veggie smoothie or as a salad topping. One table spoon a day early on, cut down to a tea spoon later. Helps recreate your urinal and gender organs very well. Good luck, and try not to relapse as long as possible!

  10. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profilesection..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal. Make sure and be grateful for the help you received and help after receiving some. Invest in some people's journeys. We could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!

thanks for your reply! it's very helpful for me.

i actually follow TED on youtube and subscribed on it's newsletter. it's very helpful. can you introduce some video and content about M and P that published on TED social media?

i agree with you about block softwares. i use some of them but they limit almost everything. I use internet for my job and searching for my projects.

next week i'm going to meet a Psychologist. i think it would be helpful because i have some other issue. what do you think?

    thanks for your helpful advice.

i actually try to eat less food and avoid high-fat foods and fast foods. I think it doesn't necessary to change my diet completely but I should make some improvement in it.

  13. Good fat is healthy ( avocado , olive oil , nuts ). :) Better to eat good fat , than to don't have enough calories intake. ( or have thoose calories in sugar  )

Remember the most important: you might need vitamins and zinc in your diet. Eating more water melon is another great idea for you (contains both Z and vits).
