Even though I have removed all porn from my computer and got blockers on all devices, I still find myself looking at sexy clips on YouTube or even watching interviews with porn stars.

What the hell is wrong with me?

There is a LOT of sexualised media on YouTube if you're looking for it. Part of me thinks it's more innocent since it's really just appreciating ideal female forms without the actual sex but...damn, I need to get a life or something.

I seriously wonder if I'll start reading autobiographies of porn stars next to just 'get off' that way somehow.

I just feel like there's no escape from this hell!!

  2. That's a serious issue to anyone trying to put a stop on their addiction. I didn't resign from YT, but I would watch only the channels that interest me. Also, if something would be interesting for me, but it had a female host, I would resign from watching it. Just in case.

The best way is to resign from YT for some time. If you can't, then stop watching anything that triggers you (nowaday's music videos especially!). Keep your time spend on YT to a necessary minimum.

Alcoholics have to deal with the fact that they'll never drink any alcohol in their life again (that's the best way, at least). However, they'll attend parties where others drink it, and that's the real test for them. The same goes for us. We will never watch porn or masturbate again in our lives, but we're encounter triggering situations planty of times. So, we build up endurance, rewire our brains, and avoid triggers as much as possible until we can deal with them.
Simply speaking - dedicate yourself more and soon you'll see the real results.
    God bless.

I did the same thing, blocked everything and always i was finding a way to go around it. I Removed all blockers from my PC, it was blocking to much that was not relevant to P...

YouTube... I lost a 50+ days streak because of YT, i was watching some anime clips and the next video was a hentai (i did not know that), i started watching and it was boring at first, it was not what i was looking for( it was not P or hentai what i was looking for), skip one min, skip one min, skip one min, and BOOM! explicit sex scene, i stared for about 5 sec. and it was enough to "revive" some memories in my brain. I reported that video and was taken down in less that 2 min. Next day only those 5 sec was in my mind... and relapsed.

Now, if you are looking to P stars is like watching P, or is just giving you a "boost" to watch P or think about P, and it turns you on and you want more and more. Is like peeking to a nude, and you want more, and more turns to P...

Add this to your host file

    216.239.38.119 www.youtube.com
    216.239.38.119 m.youtube.com
    216.239.38.119 youtubei.googleapis.com
    216.239.38.119 youtube.googleapis.com
    216.239.38.119 www.youtube-nocookie.com

    Or use cleanbrowsing family DNS

    Ipv4 address: 185.228.168.168 and 185.228.169.168

    Ipv6 address: 2a0d:2a00:1:: and 2a0d:2a00:2::

These options will lock youtube on restricted mode.

Then if you can find a way to restrict yourself from changing the host file or DNS that would be even better.

It's alright bro, you got this! I would delete my Youtube history if I were you in order to not get anything recommended. Then treat Youtube the same as you treat regular porn and refrain from searching anything that would be pleasurable in that way. If you keep failing that's okay, as long as you keep trying.

YouTube can be break streaks very easily. It's especially difficult when you're looking to see how a certain exercise is done and a bunch of videos have beautiful women in them. It's not the woman's fault that my brain is all kinds of messed up, but it just means I cannot watch a video with a woman doing a demonstration. One day I hope to be able to watch a video with a woman performing an exercise and my brain doesn't immediately want to go look at P.

Either way, it's best to refrain from YouTube until you're more grounded in your fight against this addiction.

I don't know if it's still the case. But back then I created a YouTube account with an age under 18. That way all explicit videos were automatically blocked and I couldn't change the age in the setup.

    +1000 this.

This is coming from a YouTube addict who'd watch 9+ hours of it a day - tech influencers, gaming stuff, true crime. After the regular watching has eroded your resolve enough, you'll run a search for a titty ASMR video, or click some lewd thumbnail that the algorithm decided to throw your way. You'll deny that the following porn binge had anything to do with YouTube, because you can't stand the thought of giving it up, and then you're perplexed why you can't make it past the first couple of weeks.

I've done this. Over and over again.

While cutting out YouTube is damn near impossible - friends send you a song they like, there's a funny video posted on the family WhatsApp from time to time etc. - I have found an extension that helps. It's called "DF YouTube". Lets you disable the homescreen feed, the comments and the related videos. I recommend it to everyone. It lets you watch what you're watching, and then carry on with your day without being baited.

    Good luck!

Just posted on another thread that YouTube has been a constant gateway back into acting out for me. It’s a tool your brain uses to get a small “high” that will lead to a bigger high. I’d stay off it altogether.
