I learnt after experiencing on myself multiple times that the most important is not the number on the counter, but getting up after failing. The most important is having a reaction whenever you fail.

I would get a calendar, and print it out and put it on your wall. Mark x for each day. You will start to see a chain of x's
It helps me. Constant reminder on your wall. you are trying to build a habit. Also if you mess up you can not get so down, because you see all of the x's. Also you can see where your cycle gets broken usually, like for me I had a habit of messing up every 6-7 days because I would see every Sunday as an "off" day and it built a negative habit loop. on every 6th day now I feel urges. Now I know that I need to concentrate on that 6th-7th day in order to break through to 30 days.
