Watching Porn without ejaculating

    Hi,

    Long time bad habit.. sadly i am still hanging to it .. despite i am totally convinced abt the negative impact on my health , physically and mentally.

    Nowadays i am trying this technique.. donnna know it is harmful or no ... when i get the urge of masturbating i got into the shower and do my thing then when i am near the end i open the cold shower on my d#ck to reduce the sensation/boner.

    That way i enjoyed myself without loosing my seeds.

    Donna know if this is good plan or no.

    Any thoughts.

  2. It is a common misconception. While O is bad, edging is just as harmful.

    Yeah, I think that you should stop doing that.
    It's unhealthy and it's the same thing as masturbating (same effect)

    It's actually worse because you leave the dopamine levels in the brain flooded and then it can take a day or 2 for them to drop below baseline levels making you feel worse before better again. Continuing doing this leads to desensitization of receptors and itll take even longer for you to get back to baseline levels to feel normal again. I highly recommend that you stop this behavior, which is known as "edging." Some even say it's a lot worse then masturbating for say less time and then climaxing because you're not flooding the brain with so much dopamine.

    These guys are right. Eventually you will need to stop this, because watching P without M and O is still subjecting you to the harmful effects of P. I started where you were and can give you some advice that helped me get to 100% NoPMO.

    Do not edge. It will be still harmful and you'll never out of the habit of watching P.
    Try reducing your P intake so only once per week, then once every two weeks, then once every three, then not at all.
    If you have to watch P, make it softcore and do not M and O.

    What I did to get out of no PMO and out of flatline:

    Stopping PMO
    - Do stretches that relieve tension in your groin areas (lunges, wall sits, runners lunge, toe touches, etc)
    After stretching for 10-15 minutes, you'll find that you stretched and now the urge is gone or reduced.
    - DO NOT lie in bed when you wake up. GET UP immediately.
    - Go for a walk or have a smoke
    - Take cold showers
    - Only watch softcore (twerk videos, models, and NON-NAKED people). Eventually you'll need to stop this as well, but I found that it "calmed me down" and wasn't enough to want to M and O and wasn't enough to sustain my interest beyond a few weeks. Unsurprisingly, it is also a lot harder to find softcore material and you'll get tired of even searching for it.
    - Notice the times and situations that make you have an urge. For me, it was standing at my computer in a certain area of my room. Remove yourself from that situation.
    - Use nofap to build other habits that you want to bring into your life. Remember that every time you do not PMO, you're gaining strength. That strength can be channeled into other areas of your life, such as "I want to... wake up earlier/spend time with family/study more/work on X hobby/learn to do something new/talk to women/face my fears"

    Getting through flatline to "true libido"
    - Kegel exercises
    - Exercise regularly
    - Take ginseng supplements (1000 - 1500 mg twice per day always with food)
    - L-arginine (500 mg as needed, do not take with Sildenafil or any ED med)
    - Sildenafil (if you absolutely must have sex)
    - Notice how people are more attracted to you, they laugh harder when you make jokes, you randomly make eye contact with people. Look internally and realize that this is much more exciting than PMO. (Personally, I'm not a negative person, but if it helps you remember that these benefits will start to dissipate if you begin to PMO again!)
    - Stop watching NoFap videos, and instead just read text stories. It takes more time and will keep you from PMO-ing.

    Do not take red or Korean ginseng, that will only make you hornier! Good for some men, but not for us on this forum.

    I have to disagree, and yet agree somewhat. If you are struggling to stop P, then maybe ginseng is not for you. IF you are in flatline, and you want to regain your libido for any reason then ginseng is actually a good supplement for you. I would encourage anyone who is ready to move on after stopping P and is frustrated with their flatline to take ginseng instead of fapping, "testing" with P, or M'ing.

    Always take ginseng in the recommended dose and with food. Ginseng has many other uses besides sexual enhancement - like mental clarity, high energy levels, and alertness. Also, if you learn to channel your sexual energy into the productive parts of your life, then the ginseng will not be an obstacle to NoPMO for you.
