Mood stabilizer like Lithium Orotate, but let me ask you - how do you know you have low serotonin? I am hoping you have something better than a hunch.
Dr diagonise me with ocd and prescribed ssri ( serotonin reuptake inhibitors ) I m having anxiety , no confidence . I get more anxiety from sexual thiughts . I dont exactly is it dopamine issue or serotonin or both . I m living a terrified life for two yrs . Supoose to marry in three months buts idk wat life will bring for me
Did you take SSRI and it did not help or you did not star on that yet. Your guess about dopamine is probably true, serotonin deals more with mood (happy/depressed) dopamine deals with motivation (confident/anxious). Stimulant is likely to help you, but this is something you should discuss with your doctor. My suggestion is to try re-uptake inhibitor like Ritalin first, it is much safer and less potential for abuse.
Didnt work .i dont think it can treat the issue . Wat i think is our brain is addicted to dopamine . I feel so bcz i try not to think about sex but it happenns in atleast once in two days the my start fantasi zing and get its dopamine from it
Okay that's a shame. How long did you do it for? It took me about two weeks of doing it everyday for a few hours each time. I don't what you mean in the last comment?
You can increase serotonin with swear words. Like I say see the thread in my profile as there's all the science links in it.
I tried 5-htp once and it gave me horrible brain fog even even insomnia. I know I'm short of dopamine because of my severe past addiction to dopaminergics. Serotonin and dopamine sometimes don't really make you feel better at al. In some cases they work antagonistic. Increasing serotonergic supplements always made me feel worse. It's just has to do with personal chemical and genetic makeup. The only serotonergic supplements that kind if worked for me was Rhodiola Rosea. Which actually have both effect on serotonin, dopamine and other ligands. Were did you get this misinformation from? It's totally wrong what you're saying here. A dopamine/noradrenaline reuptaker has way more abuse potential than an SSRI. Serotonergics are not really that addictive, unless they share a dopaminergic action like the substituted phenethylamines and cathinones like MDMA, MDA, methylone and mephedrone and some other stimulant research chemicals with SDRA action. I never heard anything about SSRI abuse to get high. There are many teens and even adults addicted to ritalin. It's basically cocaine in a pill.
Please give me a link to your thread then. And your avatar states: I love 5htp. So it's kind of confusing.
