I think that the mind gets used to overstimulation and whether you're PMO, playing video games or a workaholic it's pretty much the same thing in the sense that your mind craves that new state of overstimulation and you need more intense or shocking things to get the same feeling. What if quitting PMO could be made easier by quitting overstimulating things?
I definitely does, your mind creates networks that become habit forming. And you get trapped in overstimulation it's very difficult to break once it's been highly developed, but it can be broken and it's usually the best thing for you, overstimulation is not especially if it continues for prolonged periods
I'll throw it out there that I can maintain longer streaks if I cut out other forms of stimulation and dopamine release such as nixing caffeine and even music.
