Does anyone else often by default start to have sex fantasies before sleep? Like for me it seems like even if I don't fap or intend to fap it often happens. I don't even force it to come it is where my mind goes on default. I am worried that it may cause relapse at some point. Is anyone else experiencing this? And is there a way to stop it?
i focus on my feet , the blood flowing through it, i focus on it very hard and the erection dies in minutes
You're early into it if you're 6 days PMO free. Give yourself some time. The longer you go PMO free the less powerful the urges will come and the more focused your mind will get. Most likely you're returning to where the habit was strong, i.e. about to lay down in bed before going to sleep. I'm guessing that's when some of your PMO time was spent. Good suggestions from others in terms of reading a book or podcasts or breathing/meditating. Try listening to some of Porn Free Radio podcasts, episodes on temptation (www.recoveredman.com/44 and www.recoveredman.com/45).
That's funny lol but my Grandma recently passed away actually so I might not use that one, at least for now. Yea you are right. That is when I often to relapse. I'll try all those.
Do you have P. fantasies also during the day? For me fighting each such emerging fantasy is the most important part of nofap. It must be brutally kicked in the dark places of my mind. After some time they stay there for most of the time, if they show up even slightly they are again brutally kicked back btw before sleep I listen to audiobooks
I get those too sometimes. Do you know a way around it? Sometimes. It often cause me a relapse. Any advice on how to kick it in the dark places?
I usually shake my head, and try very hard thinking about something different. I also imagine how I throw those thoughts at some distance. It's important to not bring any triggers, for me it's enough to see some hot woman on street. I listen to many audiobooks whenever I can, it makes me focus on something, and prevents daydreaming.
For me it’s a yes and no. Before I used to fantasize heavily before bed and even more in the morning. Now if I go to bed at my regular time I can do it without fantasizing. Staying up late though has been more challenging as my mind is not tired and that energy will go towards fantasizing. It’s rarely happened to me since I stopped PMO but when it does I take some melatonin to knock me out
Yea a good sleep schedule is always good. I try to do the same. It has been a few years since I've use melatonin. Maybe I'll start using it again.
If I have to use it it’ll be once a week or twice max. Don’t let it be something you depend on. Good luck!
