I know that PMO all together is bad. But what about MO itself?

Is masturbation without porn or fantasies okay? I'm not a guy, so there's no issues with killing sperm or whatever.

And I've heard the argument that if it doesn't been benefit the faith, then don't do it. But does school or music or any of our hobbies benefit the faith if they aren't church oriented?

Well, isn't faith (natural or supernatural) about life and living fully? And, there may be a distinction between natural faith (trust and belief in people and the world) and supernatural faith (trust and belief in God). And, doesn't school or music or hobbies enhance life in positive and uplifting ways? assuming, maybe, that we're not studying in a school for serial killers, listening to suicidal music, or collecting shrunken human heads for the kick of it. So, I guess your question, then, is whether MO is something that enriches faith and trust in life and enhances life and living fully. Maybe just reading some of the horror stories around here should help that demonstrate again and again how MO is so narcissistic and self-centered and just the opposite of enhancing life or living in its fullness with self or others. That may be an answer. Does that get to the question?

Well the Bible says that we should abstain from all appearance of evil, and that we shouldn't let fornication or any uncleanness be named against us. To me it's always seemed like it would be seeking gratification in a way other than your future spouse and that's always seemed like it wouldn't be right to me. We as Christians should seek to honor God in all things and I don't think it honors God to do those things. Still that's just my thoughts.

That being said the harm from pornography, masturbation and orgasm occurs when your life is centered around them. An occasional drink or gambling once or twice a month probably isn't hurting anyone the same goes for pmo. Having said that most if not all people here are addicts. We can't occasionally pmo anymore than an alcoholic can have a beer. Self pleasures aren't evil. A long hot bath isn't evil. If I start ignoring my family, missing work and generally hating my life because of them I have a problem. Right and wrong aren't complicated. That whole "do unto others" thing will get you through most of life's moral quandaries.

With masturbation and orgasm maybe that's the way things are but with porn damage is done no matter what. Do to the workings of the brain pornographic images are locked into the mind permanently. Those images will cause trouble throughout life. When you get married you will subconsciously compare your spouse to them. But this is not a discussion of porn and its morality. We all know it's bad. This thread is for discussing whether or not masturbation in and of its self is immoral, and I stand by my position that it is.

If you can masturbate without lusting after someone you can justify masturbation through the Bible. However since you have pornographic images ingrained into your brain, it seems foolish to attempt to masturbate in hoping your mind will be clear of these images.

You said that you've heard so and so arguments...but the thing you didn't do is what you actually believe...
What is your opinion on the matter?

Well obviously, I'm really hoping the answer is that its okay so that I can continue MO. (As horrible as it sounds). But I don't know. If I could get off without any visual or audio or mental images, I'd like to think that it's fine to continue M.

But what is the worst case scenario?
What if you continue to MO?
What do you fear it will happen to you?

I don't know. I'm just wondering if casual, occasional MO is okay after you reach the point that it's no longer an addiction.

Biologically speacking I am 99.9% sure it is not unhealty in any way if you are not addicted to it and is only occasional.

But I asekd you thses questions because your problem seems to be faith based it seems to me that you are worried about this because of your religious teachings not because you are afraid it will cause you a physical harm.

As I've said before it's really up to you, but I would recommend against it. If you were addicted to something then you should avoid it if possible. Alcoholics shouldn't drink occasionally, gambling addicts shouldn't gamble, junkies shouldn't shoot up, it's the same principle. Basically if you were addicted to something you're more likely to become addicted again.

I also wanted that lol. But I found that I was looking for loopholes in the Bible. If you're trying to justify doing something you feel is probably wrong, then it probably is wrong. That's my opinion anyway, I don't believe MO in any form or for whatever reason is what God wants us to do with our bodies.

That one, I'm not sure. I think that if you're intentionally MO'ing to fantasies or porn, then that's something we'll have to pay for. But if we're trying our best to stop, butr occasionally slip up, the big guy should be understanding. Just my opinion.

Still...how do you think I will pay for if I continue MO?

Who on earth would want to go to heaven?
I frankly dont think that God would be fine with me having sex in heaven...but I will spend my eternity in hell surrounded by smoking hot devil girls...a fair price if you ask me.
There are no PIEDs in hell brother...but it is your choice.

Satan will make sure that I have the best dick because I serve him right, here on Earth...the Christian theory that in hell there will be eternal torment is bollocks...why would the Devil want to harm people that are leaving the life that pleases him? Nice try christian priests...I am not fooled so easily.

So you think that unimaginable torment and physical suffering are a fair price for that huh. You're right that there's no PIEDs in Hell. There's no porn, no sex, nothing of the sort. There's just pain, and sorrow. Heaven is perfect paradise.
