Ahhh ok, I get it now, I will just say most if not all "redpilled" stuff is utterly retarded. They have some valid points, even some useful points, but the views are too narrow and somewhat detrimental to most people's mental health. I will point out, that there is a huge difference, between knowing certain aspects of behavioral and evolutionary psychology, and talking about females like they are an alien species as I've seen some do in the "redpill" community. About Jordan Peterson, yeah, the guy have certainly some views that put him along the most common narrative and therefore "not redpill", but I have to say the core values of what he speaks about are applicable to both "normies" and "redpilled" people, like the relation between responsability and meaning for instance. Also, stop getting pilled, don't do drugs people. Think for yourselves.
Apologies, I didn't hint that you idolize him or anything, it's just my rant against Peterson. I've been through the Peterson path at some point. And I've seen many people whom literally worship him. As if he was some sort of a missing father figure. And later one realizes that there must be something fishy about anyone whom Youtube promotes intensely. That's why I have an intense dislike for him, because he is someone who can pass as legit opposition while he is anything but.
And to get back to the topic of red pilling, one must note that many of the "red-pillers" especially in regards to MGTOW are for the most part one of those 3: 1-Normies who really have no experience or research and are far from the truth themselves, this can be made obvious by the fact that it took the vast majority of them a long time to discover the convid hoax, and even now they will not mention the tribe because for the most part they are normies who haven't yet figured out the real deal. 2-People who are just out to take your money, they will just say anything to get a following and supporters. Truth or helping others do not matter 3-False opposition which are there to distract you and are either part of the tribe or are paid shills; the most dangerous type. The tribe like to keep people distracted such as with pornography, sports, fake politics etc.. and this fits with their goals.
Agreed. I went through my jordan peterson phase when he first came on the scene and became an overnight rick star.
I do think for myself, which is why I hate it when others suggest that because it comed off sounding like its really under the guise of “I hate that stuff and you should too”; pretty much another form of cancel culture.
I understand, he isn't all everyone cracks him up to be, but that doesn't completely discredit some of the things he talked about specifically on the national stage when he first became popular, I can respect the tremendous balls that took and fostered at least some positive character traits in some young men, I mean look at how many people are saying they went through their Jordan phase. I can respect and look up to THAT. but I've stopped listening to him for a while now so idk what's been happening. Cheers!
Don't take it personally, I would not, and don't want to cancel the redpill community. I learn a few things from them even, but they are a very polarized community for the most part, and that I cannot agree with. You can disagree with something and don't hate it.
For me Jordan Peterson has nothing special to offer, he says pretty basic stuff but he says it in such an articulate and elaborate way you think is remarkable. But tell me really something profound, a deep insight or something original from him, I have not heard or read it. Also he was addicted to benzodiazepines because he used it as a way of coping with his wife cancer diagnosis. So that in a way I lose respect for him he talks about life and dealing with inner problems but he solves his own problems with one of the most addictive drugs there is. Also that is a very questionable treatment to deal with depression, anxiety or a duel very rarely you see benzodiazepines used for this types of mental illnesses outside a psyquiatric hospital, I have my suspicion he was self prescribed or a psychiatric friend of him gave him the prescription.
I don't need any sleazy pick up artists or red pillers to tell me what to think, while simultaneously trying to sell me some overpriced online course on how to fix all the problems in my life.
Lol, a bit exaggerated. You don’t have to give one cent if you don’t want to. You can practically get all the information for free.
Yeah. He came on the scene quick and became a bit of an overnight rockstar sounding like Kermit the Frog.
I mean, he is a mere mortal, a flawed human like the rest of us, unworthy of idolization, but still some of the things he say, have value, some other you can see the biases slipping through. I mean just listen to the guy and take for yourself whatever you find of value, same deal with the redpilled community, same deal with pretty much anyone really.
I agree, and that's what I'll continue to do. All these folk flipped out when I mentioned him as their own biases spill on the page. Cheers!
