I been recently listening to Spanish guitar solos and relaxing and closing my eyes, and I find the music moves me to tears , joyful to be exact. It's like it's touching my soul . I can truly feel the music . Does this happen to anyone else with whatever music you listen to ?
Yes all of the time, Music is literally a magic key that is brilliant for unlocking ones emotions, especially for men as men tend not to shed as many tears as they should in life, so when a fantastic piece of music is heard and the tears start to fall (even if happy tears) its a great feeling that leaves you feeling less stressed, less anxious and at times makes you feel refreshed, gives hope and even makes you feel a bit high, Music can be very much like a drug that makes you feel all kinds of emotions but of course unlike a drug it has no negative side effects and its free! As you are giving up pmo i reckon you can feel the music even more now as while you are off pmo your brains become re-sensitised and your natural Dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins are at a healthy level, which might mean that you feel the musics power much more than before! All kinds of music have different effects i guess rock/metal makes you feel strong/powerfull, reggae makes you feel chilled and happy, classical can conjour all types of feelings etc i guess different types of music unlock different emotions! And as you are listening to spanish gitar music (which is awesome by the way) im not at all surprised that it is making you shed a few tears but leaves you feeling great!
Yes! I had blunted my emotions so thoroughly with pmo that music was just a distraction of noise to me. Now I feel music again. It's brilliant. I had forgotten how much it meant to me.
I remember crying with a full feeling of emotion after giving up porn for even a few days and hearing the bad news of poor health in a friend's relative. The feels increase so much when you are no longer a stone hearted individual
I used to listen crazy and metal music after each attacks of PM. Now a days I listen variety of music; most of them are very bipolared. From last week I am listening Cradle of Filth.
