Failing Made Me Depressed

    So, granted it was my first time trying this, I know I need to be less harsh on myself... but it still sucks. My results: failed at day 3.

    It is horrible but the urge was unreal. I installed k9, wasn't fantasizing, anything. It just happened. I was sitting down watching
    T.V. when I just started messing around,before I knew it BOOM relapse. I wasn't even going to get to the edging point. Part of it may have been from me being stressed out though.

    It all happened so quick and it was so vague I couldn't control it. I was just about to take a cold shower after the show as well. Why could I give in so easily? Whats wrong with me? I just want to chop off my dick now that I feel so angry.

    Here's something I want to know; on what day usually do the superpowers happen or when did the abilities (confidence, attractiveness, being alert, etc.)start happening to you?

    Another thing, should I set small goals and keep adding to it or aim for something high right off the bat? [P.S. sorry for the long post]

    don't be depressed man, that wasn't that high of a fall. and don't chop it off that's bad for business. just get up and try again. u gotta make it up in your heart that your done with this fapping addiction because your brain
    is your strongest enemy as of right now. try 14 days, first, baby steps. you'll feel powerful when you've climbed that mountain, then you'll climb another. that's how you gain confidence and everything else. i know you can do this, you knew about the cold showers so you ain't ignorant. You can do it!

    1. Depending on how long you have been masturbating, you may have created a sub-conscience habit. So be careful of that. Do you normally masturbate while watching tv

    2. What were you watching? TV is considerably more sexual than it use to be. Most cable networks have at least 1 or 2 soft core porn in them. You'd be amazed how little it takes.

    3. We're you by yourself. I have a open door policy. Trust me, the chances of masturbating are considerably less when your roommates or neighbors might walk I or can see what your up to. Isolation is your enemy when you are trying to quit.

    4. Finally small goals are good. Especially when you are starting out. When I start new. I make a goal of 3 days. Then don't stop. Shoot for 7, 14, 21, 30 days and so on.

    First of all, I'm kind of young at 13 years old. So I hope I can get control of this before it takes over my life. I started PMO'ing at the age of 8 so it has been nearly 6 years so not crazy long but I was doing it heavily. It got to the point (last year) I was PMO'ing 5-6 times /day on average, with bad days being 10 times. That sounds horrible but all my free time I could've been doing sports or going outside were spent ruining my childhood.

    1. Sometimes I just do it without even realizing it, like you said. It is kind of like someone biting their nails. I only notice it when I'm close to O usually.
    2.I was watching Two and a Half Men. I don't remember the exact show because as soon as I came I just ran to the bathroom and took a shower. Although I do know sometimes the show can have sexual conversations and scenes happening.
    3. Yeah... Something I have to stop doing is closing and locking my door. My mom can barge in sometimes and that should be used as a distraction or something to keep me from masturbating. I will keep my door open and my blinds open so anyone can see in if they want to. I have pretty nosy neighbors so it should be fine if I can keep everything open.
    4. Ok, I will start with like last time and keep increasing a little bit every couple of days to keep me motivated.

    I will also not throw around my words like they mean nothing. I will stay determined and not give in in the slightest. I thought me saying it was good enough but I have to keep meaning behind what I say or I might give in.

    Thanks both of you for such positive comments, I do not plan to ever give up. I need to stop for my well being. I will also try do do more outdoor activities to keep my mind off of it. Right now because of puberty I'm nearly constantly fantasizing so it is hard to keep my mind off of it.

    I'm so happy that complete strangers would be so supportive btw.

    Consider yourself incredibly lucky that you're discovering this right now, while you're still so young. You still have your whole life ahead of you. Many people don't realize they have a problem until they're in their 20's, 30's, or in some cases their 40's, and this has been a habit for them longer than you've actually been alive. If you can put a stop to this right now, you'll eliminate many of the future problems you could carry with you into your 20's if you don't stop, things like having a lack of self-esteem, a lack of motivation, or something many guys with this addiction have, PIED (Porn-Induced Erectile Dysfunction). You're mature beyond your years for making this discovery and actively trying to do something about it. Stay strong, my man! You can do this!

    Believe it or not, you are off to a good start buddy! It takes a lot of character to want to stop doing something that feels so good (like masturbating and watching people have sex). It is much easier to come up with excuses to do it and to tell yourself it doesn't matter - the position most boys in puberty take. Also, you had a couple of completely clean days on your first attempt, which is great. You showed your intention was serious by installing K9 - but not too serious by chopping your dick off, I hope, lol! :D

    Using K9, planning a cold shower and so on indicate that you have been reading up on the invaluable advice on this forum, which is also demonstrates that you are well motivated. When you masturbate habitually, it just becomes a natural movement for your hand to go into your underpants and play with your dick and balls. I don't mean masturbating as such, just holding them and handling them. When your dick starts getting hard you probably won't even notice.

    You have certainly been masturbating to pornography heavily (doing it @ 5 times daily on average is a lot, even for us addicts). I mention this because there are usually other pieces in the complete 'jigsaw puzzle' of how your life has been up until now. For example, bullying. Perhaps, this (or a similar anxiety), made you turn to porn and masturbation as a kind of comfort. If you still have unmet needs, Adoinc, then part of your recovery will be to find other ways to cope with those issues.

    Your 4-point plan looks good! Have you got siblings that could 'catch' you, too. Practical ideas like that can really help. Because masturbation can happen for so many reasons: raw sexual urges (including fetishes and specific types of pornography); curiosity; insomnia; boredom; stress; and even a full bladder (which is probably why you wake with a hard on). I understand about the relentless sexual thoughts and images you are bombarded with. Just try and put your mind on a different track and, if possible, keep active: IGY :)
