Coming from around world is NoFap in Vietnam. I am an English teacher in Ha Noi. I've been here for about 3 months already. I was clean just before leaving the USA and for the first few months of my time in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the transition stress and anxiety got to me as well as my own pride and I fell.... I fell hard and got into porn that was harder than porn I'd ever seen before.

Oh wait, I forgot to mention I'm 25 years old and I have been on the struggle bus since I was 13 years old. Fuck, I can't believe its been over 10 years of addiction.

More funny stuff, I am a practicing Catholic (the struggle is real). And I have aspirations to become a doctor, priest, or hedge fund manager. Weird huh? But definitely high stress, high reward type deals. I have always been a high achiever and perfectionist.... which definitely has fed into my addiction... because as we know, PMO is a great stress reliever and friend when you're alone.

So here we go. I need this. I need a victory. My family needs this. My friends need this. They need the real me, the authentic me. Hell, your family needs you, your friends need you. Our communities need the REAL us. Not the weak, shy, timid, undisciplined version that comes from PMO.

I've been humbled more times than I can count. I'll never get angry at an addict again. Not when I haven't done much better. I've just been lucky enough to not get into the stuff that really fucks you up like heroin or coke. But PMO is right there in addiction factor, if not harmful effects factor.

    Cheers,

    HIS (hotinsaigon)

hey Man, thanks for sharing. just wanted to encourage you as you start out on your Journey. I'm taking up a teaching position overseas myself so I'm working toward trying to beat a PMO addiction. Cos I know its been out of control for years and only gets more acute when living overseas. anyway just wanted to encourage you.
