Hi fellow sailors on the same NoFap boat. The name is Hoang, but you can call me KTD. I'm 23 years old, just out of college and started getting my MBA. I came across this site by a game bro, and decided to give it a shot. Nothing fancy, just wanna hit that one month milestone to see if there's any positive effects, then will decide what to do next. Don't want to set the objective to 90 days right from the start, just being realistic is all.

That's pretty much the introduction. Now, the sharing.

I began masturbating to porn since i was 12 years old. At that time the frequency was much less intense, just one - two times a month. I still remember how i got this "sickening of sex" feeling after i fapped, which was kind of good because it helped me stopped fapping for a long time. Unfortunately as i grew up that feeling got faded away and now it is gone for good. Before i started doing the NoFap challenge i fap to porn like 2 - 3 times a day, everyday. This constant abusing naturally cause problems in my real sex experiences - DE, ED, you name it. I read through some basics on the site and came across the the source of my DE problem - Death Grip. I has been suspecting the problem for a long time, just finally got the name for it from this site.

So, realizing my issues, knowing there's a way to fix it, and especially knowing there're a lot of guys trying to fix themselves like me really get me into making action. And the action start now! Wish me luck bros, know i will do the same to you.

    Please excuse my English

    Be updating soon:D

Hi bro, thank for the tip. That's what i did after i read the guide post - make a list of positives outcomes upon finishing the challenge. After awhile i narrowed down the list to 4 main points:

    - Get rid of the Death Grip issue
    - Start viewing the persons of the opposite sex like a real gentleman, not like a pervert
    - Discipline myself
    - Have natural, satisfied sexes with my beloved

Great, now whemever you feel the need to fap, take a look at the list and realize, that you can only acomplish these things, when you don't fap.

Thank you for a simple yet effective advice.

Been PMO - free for 4 days now and already feel some positive effects. Figure i should put down some notes here for myself and for other newbies :D

    Day 1 - 4

Did myself some good readings within the forum, with main objective is to adapt a proper view of how to tackle the issue. After awhile i found out that the usual mindset "I will stop watching porn and stop PMO to have a better life" is actually not the one you should adopt. Instead, change it to "I will start doing meaningful stuffs and having positive habits so that eventually porn is made irrelevant in my life". With this mindset, you can get yourself focused on actually doing the good stuffs, not just trying hard day by day to resist the urge.

In those first couple of days of quitting, I noticed some actual postive changes. Not sure if i was just exaggerating though, but anyway here's the summary list:

    - Stamina: I do workouts on a 3 - times a week basis. Before quitting i usually PMO after the workout session and it drained my stamina significantly afterward. Since i have been PMO - free for 4 days, i start to notice that in each session my stamina is a bit better and i don't get exhausted as fast as i did before.

    - Ability to focus: Now that big chunk of time spending on porn is now gone, i can divert it to learning Deutsch, my hobby and current goal. I notice that i can read long text for a longer amount of time and not easily losing focus to other stuffs like before. It's just a mild change though, but still noticable.

    - View on person of the opposite sex: This is the hardest part to fix IMO. Fantasizing about having sex was so often before that it generally wired your brain into start fantasizing on just about any occasions. I tried telling my mind to quit thinking about it and my eyes not to fixage in women's sensitive bodyparts. This is the least progress - made criteria that i have to pay more attention to it in the future.

    About the urge to relapse:

    - It's there, and it's strong. There's no way to avoid it and if you're still thinking that it's a piece of cake that is easily to overcome, you're utterly wrong. But know this: it comes and gone. Simple as that. It's gonna give you are very hard time but after that it's just...gone. The key here is to prepare yourself. How? Recall on at what time in a day that you usually fap, and what you usually do at that time. You need to change it. I don't care what you do instead, just do it. Do anything to divert your thinking off the fapping, and before you can realize it the urge is pass. It's gonna comeback though, but you know what to do.

And that's pretty much my progress so far :D. Still got much to learn and a lot to achieve, but i'm on the right road.

    Any advices are welcomed :D
