Hi, fellow Fapstronauts!

  1. Pleased to meet you all. I am a 17 year old male user from Spain. I discovered MO about 1 year and 6 months ago, right before turning 16 (yeah, I know, a little bit late), and while I have moderately controlled it, I recently (about a couple of months ago) starting to do it more often, on the order of once per day, sometimes even with P, which I know is toxic. So I have decided that before it gets worse and I depend on it and it worsens general areas of ny life, I will stop masturbating completely. I chose abstaining from PM although realistically I won't have O's either (my sexual activity is essentially non-existing). So far I'ts been a little more than 4 days and 13 hours since last orgasm, and the first benefits I've noticed are more mind clarity and physical stamina, less laziness and more productivity, more confidence and less social anxiety, more free time, less guilt, regret and self-compassion, less discomfort in the genital area when wearing regular (non-fit, non-loose) jeans with regular (non-comfy, non-bothersome) underwear, and in general more happiness and motivation. Surprisingly, I haven't been noticing any sexual urges at all, merely noticing a slightly higher blood concentration for a couple of seconds on the genital area when presented with sexual ideas in everyday life, but being nowhere close to a full boner or even a half boner, carrying no mental distraction and usually not being hard to forget about in a matter of seconds. This may be due to the fact that my history with PMO began comparatively not so long ago, didn't start picking up worrying pace until late after it started, and in general was not so far from natural sexual behavior. I plan on going for as far as I can while applying discipline at all moments, and ultimately reduce my MO to a marginal frequency, say, once a year in my birthday, or in general using it only as a reward when I've accomplished something truly worthy, and abstaining at all costs from deliberately consuming P, aside the occasional nude images you sometimes come across in the media, which may or may not be of attractive people and will not necessarily trigger sexual thoughts if not given much attention. I also plan on losing weight while NoFap as I am 5' 8" (170cm) and 180lb (80kg), leaving me with a Body Mass Index of 28.6, far past the overweight zone and certainly close to the obese zone, and want to get that last number down to around 60kg (135lb), or alternatively, just to the point where I get a fully flat belly while still conserving the natural, healthy fats needed to sustain life. I will do this by reducing my daily calorie intake to around 1900, having a balanced and fulfilling breakfast every morning, drinking plenty of water often and also evacuating often, and increasing my everyday activity by walking 10 000 steps a day, running 9.6km (roughly 5 miles) twice a week, and practicing pull-ups, push-ups and squats among other exercices that target specific muscle areas on small amounts a few times a day. It's been 3+ years since I last was under my ideal BMI (20.2, ideal is 21.5), but I expect to get back to around that number in about 2 years from now. Kind regards from me and sincerely hope for all of your well-being, and wish you a meaningful journey that leads to a more satisfiyng life.

    Welcome to the NoFap community!
It'ps great that you're taking action on yourself. I was overweight a few years ago, but I commited to a kinda-strict diet of cutting out all added sugars and sodas. Drinking water is also good for you.
What helped me a lot was tracking my calories with the free app Lifesum. Running and exercises like squats and push-ups are good for fat-loss, because you engage your whole body. I wish you the very best of luck on your NoFap and health journey!

I am back on hear after a long hiatus. I would say my addiction to porn has increased to a alarming rate and it's gotten to a point where what I have watched doesn't a line with things that I would ever enjoy in my personal life sexually. I also had a epiphany of sorts very recently where I recognized so many of the bad aspects of my life that porn addiction had attributed to. I feel more motivated than ever to stop this addiction once and for all.

  5. Hey @Fmsrubio ,

I'm just a normal ordinary member. No moderator super powers and no special insite. I share my ESH (Experience, Strength and Hope) of what works for me.

Just another warm welcome and a heart felt hello. This community has helped me so much.

What worked for me was "working" it. It took hard work for me to complete a hard reboot (No pmo) for 120 days, then move into a Sex Positive mode.

First, reading the literature published by NoFap itself along with reading journals.

Then, doing the work. Writing in my journal and replying to introductions and other's journals.

Finally, but not least, getting involved with the fellowship. I found it on the forums, but also in people's profiles. The forums tend to be longer posts, where the profiles tend to be more "conversational".

That is what has worked for me. I like to remind myself that this community was here waiting for me with the lights on when I arrived. Now, I have to do my best to be there when someone comes to the community.

    PS:

For me NoFap is 1/2 program & 1/2 fellowship.

Click on these people and post a "hello" on their profiles.

I've found that the bricks that hold this community together are cemented with the support of the members of the fellowship.

Look at with whom they exchange messages and you will find more profiles.

So, if you would have found more profiles yourself, why suggest these particular ones as a start? Those relationships started with just saying hello. So, my ESH is that saying hello has kept the fellowship alive for myself.

Looking forward to your success and in seeing you say hello on these profiles.
