The Official Trailer Discussion Thread

Please share trailers of movies you are interested in. Or you could also share trailers you find terrible and rip them apart with less than constructive criticism.

I also will say please do not just share a trailer without actually discussing it. Do not just post a video of a trailer. You should write at least one complete sentence about it, ideally a paragraph.

Trailers for TV shows permissible.



First of all Ben Foster looks like he is on his A game here. I'd like to pat him on the back or shake his hand, even give a small bow of appreciation with a slight downward motion of the head.

The first few seconds made me feel like it was going to be a rollicking action film, but I was quickly let down as the sentimental plot thickened and the emotions were trying to be pulled out of me, which they were but formed to reason quite quickly with the formation of the thought that it is movies like this that are the complete opposite of watching porn. In the sense it doesn't rape humanity off of the performers.

 

Cas the production values are there.



I just don't think I can get into Chris Pratt starring in this. Missed the first one he was in. Perhaps it is geared towards kids actually.

I need more of an adult type dino movie. Either that or something without Chris Pratt.

 

Put it in a paper bag and burn it under a bridge, please.

 

Maybe I am putting undue blame on the Prattinator here. I enjoyed his other roles actually, all of them.

‘Jurassic World’ Is a Bad Movie About Why Movies Are So Bad

Jurassic World just sucks. The entire thing doesn't do justice to Jurassic Park.

 

Featurette discussion also welcome.



I mean featurettes are like behind the scenes trailers in a certain sense.

Danny Glover adds a vibe to this that will appeal to a certain demographic. I wouldn't consider myself included in it. However I still want to see it and fully enjoy this featurette. My interest is stoked by both the polish and substance of it.

 

Cas the trailer is the movie.

Discussing the trailer without regard for the movie doesn't make sense I am sorry if you interpreted my intention this way but no.

 

Look maybe there is a niche viewer base out there who just gets into trailers without taking into consideration the film that the trailer footage is taken from.

Discuss a trailer however the hell you want but understand trailers are made because of a film so film discussion is to be expected.
