Newbie

I recently saw an email about nofap and I knew i had to give it a try. I have been looking at porn since I was around 17 years old (i'm 39 now). I have been trying so hard to beat this habit, but I just can't do it. I have been doing some real soul-searching as to why I even started with porn. At first it was out of curiosity. Then I realized I turned to porn to forget about my problems and to get away from all the stress I was going through. Now instead of handling problems and stress like a "normal" adult, I run to pornography and masturbation as a way to get away from it. I have read a lot of the articles this website has to offer, and I can't even believe how much I fall into the porn addiction catagory. No longer do naked blondes interest me; I have to look at more deviant things just to get an erection. For the sake of keeping this post short, I am glad I found this site, and I hope that knowing that I am not alone, that I can be a part of a group of people who want to better themselves is what helps me kick this habit that I am ashamed of.
