Like for example: I've beaten my addiction, but I watch a movie that has sex, or nudity can I still watch or will I not be able to watch movies like that ever again ?

This is something you'll have to work out in the future. Giving up porn is about surrender. We don't realize how much of our lives has been infiltrated by our addiction until we end it. We turn so many things into porn that much of it has to be surrendered. Porn was our pacifier. It soothed and comforted us. It made us feel good. It's hard to give up. I understand that the thought of giving up movies that involve graphic content can feel a little unfair. But you really have to be honest with yourself. I don't know what that will mean for you, but for me, I needed to leave porn behind forever. I needed to surrender. I needed to let go of all the voices that said, "Oh! But what about ____. You won't give that up too, will you?"

I've been porn and lust free for just over a year now. When I quit porn I also decided to take a break from movies and television as well. This might seem radical, but I recognized that I often used movies the same way that I used porn. It was an escape into a fantasy world where I could trick my brain into believing that I was doing great things. Now, I'm choosing the hard and rewarding work of actually following my real dreams, and this has been what I have always wanted. Porn tripped me up, constantly. Movies wasted my time. Often, I used movies as porn, intentionally watching movies with sexual content, even lying to myself saying that I was watching the movie for the movie, but then inevitably finding myself acting out, rewatching scenes, skipping over scenes that were not sexual.

It's really up to you, but the odds are far more in your favor if you give up all the stimulation. Stay away from the grey area, because anything in the grey can be turned into porn if you really want to. Maybe in a year, reflect on where you're at. If you've done the work, the real deep work, you may be able to watch these kinds of movies again, with consciousness. But you might ask yourself, why take the risk?
