Just wanted to say hi and mark my first day here. I've been struggling with PMO since I was around 13 or so. In fact, it started with just porn and I'm not sure when the M arrived but shortly after I'm sure. I'm now 34 and the longest I've gone without was one year and that was when I was in my early 20s. I can remember the exact moment that I relapsed, wish I could take that back so much. I'm starting fresh. I am in a relationship and so I'll be in normal mode for now. I'm literally in hour 27 since my last PMO. Wish me luck guys! I'm hoping this community will help me to fully recover. I've dealt with a few erection problems but mostly PE. I want to cure this and view women as people and not objects for my gratification.
Thanks for the reply! I'm actually really excited about this journey, although I do know the reality of the struggle. One of my big problems recently just in the last day has been the aspect of fantasy. I find my mind wandering about different things I've seen or women I've been involved with and I hate it. Feels like I can't control it. In fact, only after lurking for here a bit and reading what people wrote about fantasizing, have I really tried to stop myself when it starts to take over.
Sometimes the harder you try to control something the more your mind gets stuck in a loop with that very thing. In time it will calm down and you will find that more things just sort of wash over you and you move on.
